Just to note it, the Amazon Video Games Deal of the Day today is Metal Slug Anthology for PSP for only $8.98. Ships free with Prime or a $25 order. I picked one up.

PSP version of this game used to be worth over $70. I can't believe how cheap it's gotten. Excellent game, PSP version is the best!

Now we just need one of those for Samurai Shodown Anthology for the PS2, so I can grab some popcorn and watch darkslime try to off himself just because he has to go one hour without scalping something.

Wait, the PS2 version is valuable? My supplier has a bunch of them in stock last I checked.

Hold your horses. Just because some idiots on Digital Press are trying to make a quick buck on a game doesn't mean that it's OMGT3HRAREZ!!!1.
Not trying to tell you how to do your job (as you run a game store), but I hope you're going to do some research first.
I've got my one copy - got it from Amazon for $15 - and that's good enough for me.

Yup, I got mine from the supplier, for me. I was having such a hard time finding it when it was released. It was nuts.
I'm on the phone with my friend who works there, and he said on Monday they got 48 in. They sold them out to CD universe and Wal-Mart.com by Tuesday night. Every single copy in a couple hours, at $11 each so they could be resold for $15.
I just found out this supplier is the dedicated US supplier for SNK in the states, so they think they will get more.

Cool. Glad I could help, in a really roundabout way.

Even if I picked them up and sold them for $30, I'd be making enough to make it worth it, and saving people from needing to pay $100. Chances are, in all honesty though I'd off at least 1 for a higher price to pay for most of them (so I break even BEFORE the inevitable reprint).
It's all business. One thing I won't do though is buy them off a store shelf depriving someone who will play it the game. I walk a strange fine line in justifying business ethics.
The 48 that were sold through my supplier went to the same 2 people. 20 to one person, 28 to another. Might as well snag them myself.

Do you sometimes put quantity limits on some of the games you sell?
Some of the Digitpress bozos are complaining that they got the Canadian version of the game from Walmart and CD Universe (bilingual packaging, English/French manuals, English software), so if you think that might be a problem, check with your supplier first.
I personally don't let Canadian version games bother me - in fact, I already feel closer to my Wii collection. We're both half Canadian.

My PSP version runs fine on my slim PSP! I just like bringing it everywhere with meeee.
And yeah, I put quantity limits on items I sell. Popular items are no more than 2 per customers/household.

Portable games are great! Sadly, DS and PSP are not ok at work due to being able to send and receive info wirelessly (security reasons), but the GBA SP (sans Wireless Adapter, of course) and anything older are just fine. I've been giving my Nomad a nice little workout. The problem is the plug - if I so much as breathe on it incorrectly, the connection breaks and the game shuts off.
Not to steer this thread off topic, but have you tried either of the newer portable Genesises (Genesi?) to have hit the market in the last month, and if so, how are they?

Haven't tried 'em. I hear nothing good about them, though.

Digitpress guys would be upset if a warranty card was missing.
