This is by the same guy that did The Day After Tomorrow, where characters can see and outrun the approaching cold weather front.

Yah people think movies should be realistic.... Don't we all watch these things to escape reality for 120min or so? Just think of it as a alternate reality where that crap can happen  Its just a movie.. entertainment! If I wanted to watch real events I would go outside, watch the news or read the paper |

That kind of thing is fine in a Bond movie, because pushing the laws of physics is part of Bond's world.
What bugs me is in something like a Superman movie. There will be something totally illogical or flying in the face of common sense, and someone will blow it off because, "it's Superman, and he can fly, therefore you should accept anything else the movie offers." I disagree. He can fly, therefore everything else needs to be more realistic, or you've blown our suspension of disbelief.
Back to Bond.....I'm OK with the crazy car tricks. But everything else needs to make sense. Characters can't start doing totally nonsensical things or magically hacking the entire Internet in 30 seconds with a Dell laptop or whatever. Stretch reality, such as with the car stunts, but don't break it.

It looks good but I'm a sucker for these natural disaster movies. I hope everyone or at least a bunch of people die though, I don't wanna see them get in rocket ships and plant a bomb on some meteors, I don't wanna see tanks shooting them down or any bullcrap. The world is gonna end in 2012 and there will be no escaping it. But it's a movie so I will expect dumb crap. |

Of all the ridiculous actions going on you choose to question the validity of a car coming out of a back of a plane.
