I don't remember anyone posting this but here. Tarantino's WWII flick comes out later this year, apparently the trailer has been out for a while now but I just discovered it. Looks awesome.

looks like pretty much the same plot to me, he just turned it into more of a dark comedy with a few plot changes (pre the first movie almost).

Its not, the first movie was about a bunch of prisoners that are trying to escape the war and prison and get caught up in a secret mission. This movie is about a group of soldiers who volunteer to just dessimate and cause fear in the Nazi military. If you mean by it being about WW2 and fighting nazis, then i guess Saving Private Ryan is also based off Inglorious Bastards

People can give Tarantino all the crap they want. Everyone always says he's "ripping off" other films, I think he just has a great appreciation of other peoples work and pays homage with his films and his own style, and he does it better then anyone else.
His movies are awesome, all of them are among my favorites in film. This one looks to be no different. |

Yeah, the only complaint I have with Tarantino is sometimes it seems he has his characters talk a little too much for my tastes (Fine when it's adding to the story and everything, but Death Proof it just got kinda boring until the action started again)
Noticed the same thing in Kill Bill, though I suppose it was more essential to the story and whatnot
I still haven't seen Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs, which I should probably watch sometime (I heard they were pretty good )
Tarantino also wins points from me for stating that The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly is his favorite movie (Best directed movie ever made imo, one of my top favorites)
