It's 2005 all over again.
You can download it for free off NIN's website. Sounds like an outtake from With Teeth. And what's with the piano in the song? Did Trent forget he already used it in The Great Below?
First Ghosts, now this. The future's not looking good for NIN. |

to each his own, but personally, I enjoyed both Ghosts I-IV and this new single.

What was the last thing he did? Wasn't it all intrumental or something? Is this a single from that or has he moved on already? |

Anxiouz - the last thing he did was Ghosts I-IV, an all instrumental album. Discipline is something new, so I think he's moving on already.

Ah, thanks. I'm always 1 release behind for some reason. Not sure why.... |

I dunno. I never would have heard about this either if I hadn't been checking NIN's MySpace profile.
When you download the song, there's a comment that says to check out NIN's site on May 5th.

the ghosts albums were mostly for the fans to do with as they pleased. listen, or turn it into a song of their own by adding their own special vocals/sounds/beats, whatever. he left it open and free of topic by naming all the tracks (#) ghost so not to influence the listner one way or another. I thought it was a pretty original idea I mean honestly who does something like that? only trent reznor to my knowlege |

Funny he's putting music out more frequently now instead of waiting 8-10 years between albums. |

If someone used that music for their own song i'm sure he'd be reasonably upset and sue. |

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because this whole "pay what you want" is working out very well for him, but sooner or later the novelty is gonna wear off and people are going to pay less and less. He's probably cashing in now while the gettin's good. |

Niggy Tardust is some pretty good stuff. Him and Saul Williams mesh well. DNA, WTF! and SUnday bloody Sunday (yes U2 cover) are a few of the highlights |

Yeah, that was a pretty solid album. |

I was very impressed with it. I got it later so I paid $5 but that's still an incredible value. I'll totally pick it up if they do another Niggy Tardust. |
