May I suggest that you get the complete version (with expansion packs). I have the one with Warlords and Beyond the Sword expansions, and it's like getting complete additional games in each pack.
Any games you can't get rid of here?

I believe Gold only has Warlords expansion. There's actually 2 "Complete" editions. One has Game of the Year Edition of the original game, Warlords and Beyond the Sword expansions. Then, there's a new Complete edition that also includes Colonization expansion pack. I'm not sure if that version is retail or just download. I know it was on sale on Steam.
I personally bought mine on eBay for around $30 new. If you're not looking to spend that much, and just want to try it out, then you might just want to trade for the original game only, as that shouldn't cost you too much at all.

yea, just wanna trade for the original game for now, ill deal with the expansions later. is the game any good? where can i get it for good deal? |

It is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. I'm not a turn based RPG fan, but I tried Civilazation Revolution on the 360 or PS3, and I loved it. I guess the reality of wartime strategy of Civilization vs. fantasy of RPG? Civilization IV for the PC is so much more than the console version. You just want to keep playing . . . there's been some nights where I tell myself "I have time for one more turn" . . .next thing I know it's 1:00 am and I've taken another 20 or 30 turns!
There are some fantasy RPG style game modes in the expansion packs. I've played them and liked them very much. Maybe I could give RPGs another shot, I don't know.

I have the expansion if you ever want to buy/trade for that. I'm looking for Age of Empires: III and the expansions. The original would be fine too though. |

You know what's funny? I HAVE this (Game of the Year Edition - complete game with bonus DVD) and was considering posting it on eBay tonight.

I was just at Target today and I saw Civ IV on clearance for $14. Might want to check there. |
