The receiver I had hooked up to my PC is toast. So I'm looking for a nice 2.1(2 speakers and 1 sub) system or 2.0 speaker setup.

Or possibly just the two left/right speakers that I can hook my subwoofer to(uses an RCA plug, not a 3.5mm) if at all possible.

I have a nice Bose 2.0 set. They have two audio inputs so you can hook up a computer and a mp3 player to the same set. The inputs are red/white rca audio jacks.

That'd be nice to have.

btw, do they produce some bass? or is it mostly mids/highs?

I was getting some bass out of them, they have some sort of integrated bass feature. I don't know much about audio, but I used them with my iMac for awhile and decided to go for more desk space by using the internal speakers. I use my headphones more and have been looking for a wireless set.

I'm looking for $55 on them shipped. Both speakers and ac adapter come in at about 6lbs.

I'll keep it in mind(pretty sweet deal). I'm currently calling around to electronic shops to see if I can fix my receiver for a decent price, don't think it'll be cheap though.

Were you using the same type of receiver you normally connect to a TV for surround sound?
