Is there any way to watch a video while I play a game in full screen on Windows 7? Will VLC do this? |

No, single monitor. I want a small video window viewable while I'm playing a game full screen. I tried setting an iTunes window to be always on top, but it didn't work once I full-screened the game. |

The only way you could do this single monitor is if the game was windowed, and then set the window to the size of the screen, but your task bar would be visible.
It would also depend on the game, some games have an override for full screen that can not be broken.

unfortunately, you media junkie, there are only two way I know of
WOW runs widgets, which can use computer apps ingame.
and the new g19 board has indisplay, which you can have media
running on.
Which makes me think there must be some 3rd party app out on
the net, google it, I say you get a hit!

indeed, but you can always hide the taskbar until mouse over, to take care of that. |

Oh well. On Sunday mornings I just like to play some Anarchy Online and listen to Diggnation. I thought it would be nice to be able to watch it, but I can live with just audio. Or a windowed game, I guess. |

Tell me how long this works when you are playing something like a 1st person shooter. Then all of the suddon you just stand still and can't move anymore because you moved the mouse down to far and the task bar take priority over the game. Then you die and smash your headset! Not speaking from experience of course :) |

no even a windowed game should not allow the mouse outside of the box.
that being said, there is always the exception to the rule

actually, most older game allow the mouse to leave the window, especially if you are holding down the shift, crt, or alt key.
But the well made ones also pause the game when this happens, lol.

How does it pause a multiplayer lan game? lol
This happens in Mohaa yes it's 7-8 yers old but in the middle of online play you will lose control if you have it set up this way, I had it like this while trying to do two things at once and seen it didn't work well. |
