A package was sent to my screen name, not my real name, and now it's on return, and he wants me to pay shipping again for the package.
I did not list my name in the address, but it's in my profile, so i thought that made sense, but he's telling me that i'm in the wrong.
What should i do? |

He's an idiot, but maybe you're a nice guy who will offer to split the cost of shipping to make up for him being an idiot.

Well, now he's shipping at again.
Has he already rated me since he received my money, or is he going to give me a bad rating? |

You've already been rated.

Best to put your given name where your addy goes if it's going to be an issue
I thought non subs can't see the real names on a traders page???
My PO people could give a rip about the name on my packages. It could say Osama Bin Laden and they wouldn't care so long as it's the correct address. |

It seems that you might be correct about non-subs. I logged out to check and no names or email addresses show up. Although, that is still different than being logged in without subtime so who knows...

Non Subs should be able to see names etc. Signed off is only when you cant see these things. |

That would make sense, since Roach is a non-sub and he can see them.

So? |

So... he should have had no problem reading your name. But in any case, you should add your name to your address listing.

I've sent to usernames dozens of times, hell I've even created additions to names and yet I've never had an item returned to me because of it. I say the guy is either BSing or he doesn't know how to read.

I have had people do this to me but I had no problem claiming the package if I had to go to the PO (pink slip) or had no problem getting it delievered. |

Yeah, it's odd that the package got sent back. But, you should put your name on the address too. The address should be exactly what the other trade should put on the package. That's just common-sense, right? |

Your "Patrick Sexton Kessler McGee IV" stunt did throw my mailman for a loop though.

But it made me laugh all the way to the P.O.
Though I still don't understand why it matters what the name is. I believe you don't even technically need to have a name on the package.

When you live in a rental property the mailman is usually a bit more cautious. A lot of renters don't leave forwarding addresses when they move and the mailman doesn't want to just hand off other peoples packages to the new tenants.
I don't understand what my butt-hole mailman's problem was that day, though. I've lived here for about 15 months now and receive 2-3 packages a week. It's not like he doesn't know me by now.

in some cases you NEED a name. Such as a rural residence. Small communities only know who the package belongs to by name. Such as RR#1, your town, zip/postal code. How do they know who the package belongs to without a name...they don't in that case. |

Yeah, in America we have addresses. The only time you absolutely must have an actual name is when it is sent to the PO "General Delivery" They only let you do that if you have no address. |
