Seriously, why is the user Rexiginis still allowed to exist in this community? He has a laundry list of trades gone bad, crap awful ratings, and now that he is back has already pended a purchase trade with a brand new user who appears to be about 13. Shouldn't something be done here so he is not afforded the opportunity to re-institute this charade every 12-15 months? |

Other traders can clearly see his ratings are low and it would be up to each user to choose whether or not to trade with him. He does state that he would be willing to ship first to traders with good ratings with bronze or higher so I don't see the problem. |

You don't see a problem that the completely new trader he has a pending with is going to have to ship first to someone with an incredibly marred trading record?
Also, now that the glaring BTR tag is gone from his profile, it would be easier for some less attentive traders to miss it and even easier for a new trader to not know the warning signs of what to look for. |

All around, I like this guy. He doesn't rub me the wrong way, he can speak professionally when he's trying to make a deal, and he did come back and take care of all his BTRs. Everyone deserves a second chance. A third chance however might be a different story.

From his Bio:
The worst trader at GameTZ is back in business! Let me lay down a couple rules right off the bat here.
If you have less trades than me, I send first.
If you have more trades than me, I send first.
If you are buying from me, I send first.
If I am buying from you, I send first.
If you don't have a bronze star yet, GTFO.
Pretty easy, huh? I bet you can't -wait- to trade wit me. Cheers!

Bill just sent me a PM to respond to this thread. Do you not want me to trade with the new guy? I can send this back when it gets here. I made sure to impress the importance of shipping this out with Delivery Confirmation to make sure his ass was just as covered as mine; I might still have the AOL conversation I had with him in a log somewhere if you'd like to review it.
I was already given a heads-up by about three people crapping up an E3 discussion that a topic like this was going to be made.
Sigh. The bio was listed as a joke, because I really can't think of a nice light to put my past few trades in. I came back to GameTZ to take care of my past bad deals. Know full well that when things go awry, I have no intentional malintent for it to do so. I do not pend trades and say "I wonder how long I can string this guy along before he gets pissed." At best, I can be forgetful, and at worst, I can be lazy. But I am not a scam artist, I am not a thief, and I am not pleased that I'm being hounded by returning to GameTZ to clear my name and hopefully start back on the path of not being a douchebag trader. My last BTR I resolved, while saying they would never trade with me in review (Not that I blame them.), said in the messages where I REPEATEDLY apologized for being an butt-hole, that they were very happy that I had come back to take care of this debt.
If you guys really have an issue with me trying to come back and do the right thing, do me a favor and keep it locked in this thread, or in PM. I would appreciate not having to deal with butt-holes with nothing better to do than hound me because I did what the VAST majority of BTRs do not do: I fixed what I fudgeed up.
Is that succinct?

He just updated the trade with a DC number, the game should get here tomorrow or Tuesday; he seems to be under the impression that not only shipping out in a CoD5 box was cool, but that this is still in fact going through.

Might wanna let him know it really isn't. I'd hate for someone going through with a trade to get something like that in the mail with a "hope it's okay..." message.

Fudge off Harper. You are a scam artist and a thief. You've come back on the forgiveness road more than once, and it all ends the same - a relapse. Forgetful and lazy doesn't excuse taking full YEARS to fix a gosh darn BTR. And you aren't happy about being "hounded"? Give me a fudging break.

Got about five packages in the mail today, opened 'em all without thinking and the pended item in question was in one of them. Closed it back up, taped it and paid for it to be shipped back to him with a DC#.
Also, just curious. Since when did a 89.6% rating become intolerable? Last time I checked my middle-school report cards that was a B+. Mightyslacker, how bad was OUR trade? Also, I require a clean definition of what does and does not constitute a SCAM or a RIP-OFF before I allow those arguments to be valid... I don't recall "paid back" to be in either of those definitions.

The BTR system sorta encourages it, since you have to shave off bad trades. I personally wouldn't care if it stayed on my record for a year. I came back to pay off my debts and start being a good trader like I used to be instead of being a disappointment.
Some people just can't understand that mentality I guess. I really don't care if nobody believes me. I wouldn't still be here if it weren't true. The fact that the haters literally had NOTHING better to do than crap up threads and make a crusade thread to persecute someone who returned to the site to fix his crap speaks volumes on their character. I see many, many more Bad Traders that have done worse things than pay back trades gone wrong (and have not returned to the site). Why aren't they crusading after those people instead?
ANYONE CAN ANSWER THAT QUESTION.

So far the best answer is "Even though you fixed your crap, we're too lazy to investigate REAL scam artists and thieves, so we'll call you names instead."

It's one of the ways the community deals with threats - by demonizing and mocking bad (or risky) traders.
It's probably best to not get too self-righteous about the whole thing - a dozen good trades in your recent trading history and everything will smooth out.

If I'm coming off as self-righteous, I apologize. With comments like "Don't worry, I live in Michigan; I'll teach him a lesson", it felt more like self-defense.
Speaking of which, Org13, if you didn't wanna go through the trouble of coming up here to "teach me a lesson", I've got several friends in Kalamazoo. Given the recent real-world harassment of Admiral, physical and other real-world threats really are not your best option here. Knock it off.
And that goes for you too Org13.

Some new Rexiginis related drama:
A new account, Dashbringer is coming in from the same IP (same computer) as Rexiginis. They also have the same mailing address. Also, I found in one of Dashbringer's trades, Rexiginis had posted a tracking number saying "This is Rexignis updating for Dash while he's out of state... "

Bill, he should be back around the 17th. We share IPs because this entire apartment complex is serviced with wireless internet that's included with our rent; if someone in building 1132 were to come to GameTZ, he'd have my IP address too, unless he used his own ISP.

You are signing on to Dashbringer's account and using it to update his trades.
Given your 14 BTR bad reputation here, you have to know that it looks very suspicious when a new account is created and used from the same place.
Normally, we just suspend both accounts when we find something like this.
It's fishy as hell. |
