Bill,
Didn't the "check all" checkbox used to select only the threads in the specific forum on the AMNR page? Now it seems to be checking all threads across all forums.

Oddly enough, I actually made this mistake within the last few weeks also -- I accidentally marked way more than I intended.
It may be more noticeable now because new posts in personal forums show up even if we haven't read them. Because of that, I want to use the ignore boxes more often for threads that I don't care about in those forums. I would prefer it be like Gren mentioned it used to be actually -- I rarely would want to ignore ALL of the threads in AMNR. Much more often it would be just all of a specific forum.
And, from an intuitiveness standpoint, with the check-all box being present for EVERY forum, it really seems like it should only apply to that forum -- not all threads across all forums. (Which is how I accidentally did it -- because I just clicked the check-all button and then then Ignore button next for a specific forum before I realized that it had marked ALL of my AMNR threads.  )

OK, I think I've fixed it.
On a side note, I've been working on a big refactoring project for all my website perl code. I started with Survey Central and I'm still working on that. GameTZ will be next, and the last thing (I think) will be the forum code. Looking at the forum code, after doing all the clean-up of SC was distressing. It's a huge mess by comparison. I suspect it will take me over a year to complete this big project, but in the end I hope for things to be in a much better state. |

Very cool. It occurred to me this morning that this lines up better with the ignore and catchup links, which are also per forum.
