ok so this guy had an auction and i bidded on a bunch of n64 games... when the auction was over we pended the trade, i have less trades so i had to send first. ATM i did not have money because i am only 14 and i cant make money easily but i bidded on his stuff cause i knew i was getting paid for a cod 4 that i shipped out to someone on ebay. the guy ended up not paying me for a good week. i was trying to tell this guy i didnt have the money and i was waiting for the guy to pay me. we finnally completed the trade and i got my game looked made sure everything was there and completed the trade giving him exellents. after wards i go up to play the games i got and relize that alot of the games had torn labels and junk on them. i wanted to change my ratings cause i thought that was rude not to post that the games had stickers and ripped labels. so i go back to change my feeedback and requested to change my feedack i left. afterwards i relized that the guy gave me really bad rating saying that i was not courtious because i didnt send the money right away and he also gave me a bad rating for speed. i dont feel thats not be courtius at all...now hes saying hes gunna fight the rating change because he says i did that just because i saw the bad feedback he left me. WHAT SHOULD I DO!? |

You should look at the pictures he posts next time and not buy something when you don't have the money in hand. |

Cannot see the pictures anymore but he clearly state on his auction to ask questions first if quality was an issue. Did you?
Also waiting 2 weeks is good/fair but changing his feedback because you don't like your feedback...don't think that is going to fly...

He probably knocked that part down after he found out you didn't have the money when pending the trade(which is asking for trouble). It's justified, since many of the traders on here would be angry if you told them you were waiting for an item to sold to gather the money, right after pending the trade. It's common courtesy to at least have the money available when making an offer instead of waiting for it to come from someone else.
As for going back & editing his feedback in retaliation, the mods won't allow that. It's best to just move on, ship out on time & have the stuff in hand when offering. Just learn from the mistakes so it doesn't happen next time. |

That's bullcrap. Print labels from paypal and stick them in your mailbox, or take a bus to the post office. That's what I do, and usually manage to send out my packages no later than 2 days after pending.

perhaps you shouldnt be using this site then if you dont have any means of shipping in an acceptable timeframe.

i dont think thats a good reason to not use a great site. i guess everythings just gunna stay how it was thanks guys, im just going to put in my bio that it may take a little longer than normal to ship and if thats a problem dont even pend a trade with me. |

Why are the guys who complain fail to use the damn keyboard properly? Shift keys are there...punctuation is there...use 'em. Trust me, anyone, everyone will take you a million times more serious.
USPS will pick up deliveries...that's what that little red flag is for on the side of your mail box! You can call ahead and schedule the pickup for any large packages other than that slapping a bubble mailer in your mailbox with a label printed out is not a hard thing to do.
I'm not in a blame the OP kind of mood but for real it's N64 games. They were mint a decade ago...

ive decided i was wrong and made a mistake. i dont want people to think im a bad trader. i really try my best to be a really good trader, so i can have good ratings on this site so more people wont mind trading with me. i just sent the guy a message asking if we can work this out instead of fighting about it. thanks |

Look... there was a mistake made on a transaction. ONE MISTAKE. Everyone has them, and usually it's right when you start off.
The solutions to your problems are as follows:
1. Don't bid on something unless you have the money IN YOUR POSSESSION WHEN YOU PLACE THE BID. Counting on someone who owes you money (even from a website like this or eBay) is never a good idea. Don't buy if you can't pay immediately after bidding.
2. Be completely honest in the transaction. If you plan on hitting the post office on a specific day and it doesn't happen for whatever reason, e-mail the other person right away. Tell him you didn't make it today, and give him a reasonable time frame for your next trip (one or two days, usually).
3. Always be certain of what you're buying BEFORE you buy it. If you're worried about the condition, e-mail and ask for a description or - even better - more pictures.
4. Get your parents to drive you to the post office. They probably do grocery shopping at least once a week, and there are many traders here who work full-time and specifically state "I only ship on Fridays" or something to that effect. As long as people know exactly what's going on in a trade, they're generally pretty civil.
You seem like a good kid, so don't let one little mishap trip you up. What you said is true: "What's done is done." Move on, and be more careful in future transactions.
