Sartori wins because he was the one one who played a second round. congrats, and hopefully the next tourney (hosted by someone else!!!!!) will work better. Topic now on general online play...

What's for the winner other then bragging rights? Also have we decided on a date/time for this or do the opponents just figure out their own best time to fight?
I also get my game tomorrow and will be practicing after work.

I was thinking that once everyone's set, I'd have a certain date that the winners must be announced by, and the people just choose the best time for them to fight. Idk, what would people wanna play for? subtime, paypal, what?

Yeah, if it's paypal I can't play. No paypal account. I suggest bragging rights or a signature that announces that you won the first ever brawl tournament or something like that, especially since everyone is just getting used to the game, and then later on, maybe a tourney for money. I'd just prefer to hone my skillz before everything gets serious. |

yes, FD no items- so you can use nothing but your skill to win. stock match of __ < how many should we have? and should it be a best of 3 or just one? match?
I'm thinking that it should be a jff tourney, but a banner'd be cool. I can't make em, though.

No items? Proper item usage is an indication of the player's skill as much as anything. I also think items are one of the major components of Smash Bros. that make it different from other fighting games.
I'm not even sure if I'll be able to enter, so my opinions probably don't matter (yet at least), but I'd suggest a stock match of 3 or 5 lives. |

What about Smash Balls? I'm all up for no items, but a Smash Ball is this game's cheese to its macaroni. I think this rule set would be good for the tournament though:
3 Stock Lives
Best out-of-three matches
Smash Balls-The ONLY item allowed
You can change your main character after every match
Anyone else agree?
