Can specific levels be turned off for random stage select in Brawl?

I know that in Melee when you unlocked almost all the stages this option became available. Is it available in this one? I ask because I really hate the Big Blue stage, and would like to delay unlocking it for as long as possible if it can't be turned off.

Also, how do you start a match as Sheik instead of Zelda?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Found this for the Zelda/Sheik thing

*Note - To choose between Zelda and Sheik before you begin the
match, click on the character in your character profile window (the
picture of the character under your 1P, 2P, 3P, or 4P box).

And i think the random stage option of taking out stages from the selection is in brawl as well

Thanks everyone. I think I tried selecting Sheik that way before, but I don't remember if it worked. If it didn't, I probably didn't actually click right on her. I did read that this can be done for Pokemon Trainer, so that would make a lot of sense.

I briefly checked the options the other day, but didn't see the option. I'll look more closely this weekend, as it's very possible that I just overlooked it.

Big Blue is by far the worst level I've played. Poke Floats is probably a distant second.

Final Destination and Zelda's stage were my favorites in Melee

Hyrule Temple and Pokemon Stadium were my favorites. The music for Pokemon Stadium and the classic Dreamland (I think that's what it's called) were just epic. However, Icicle Mountain, both F-Zero levels, Poke Floats, and a couple others were worthy of being shut off.

I hated those last 3 levels you mentioned as well, Pokemon Stadium was cool, but i basically liked playing on a mostly flat playing field

Clicking on Sheik's picture does work (as does clicking on a specific pokemon's picture). I was unable to find how to turn off levels, however. Maybe I need to unlock more stuff before the option becomes available.

Alright. I have more options available, but not the stage filtering. . . yet at least. I'll just have to keep unlocking stuff. Thanks.

Stage checking doesn't become available until you have all 41 stages available. Then it's available under Rules->More Rules->Stage Select.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. I think I need to unlock two more levels then.
