What is your current musical learning/project/creation?

Is this just open-ended like whether it's original or a cover or whatever?

I'll take it as such. Anyway, I have written several songs that I have a general idea how I wanna
sing them, but that don't have any music to them yet. I have a few songs that I've come up with
some basic rhythm guitar for that I'm still fine tuning.

And the current few songs I recently learned that I'm working on getting down good are
Creep by Radiohead, Hurt by NiN (but the Johnny Cash version more or less), and most
recently Hallelujah. Not sure who actually wrote it. Several people have covered it. It was
in the first Shrek movie for those that don't know what I'm talking about.

I guess I was just intending for people to be able to log what they're currently learning to play -- covers or originals.

 * yes * to Creep.

I just finished writing music for a song but I have yet to write lyrics to go with it. I also just learned the rhythm guitar parts to Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Currently working on: "Drinking" by boa and "Big Empty" by STP. Also, I've got about 5 or 6 songs I'm writing lyrics for.

Newest song I'm learning is Have you Ever Seen the Rain, by CCR.

I killed at karaoke doing this one at the Marlboro Ranch. The guitar is pretty basic; but
also kind of tricky since I don't play a lot of barre chord stuff. The strum pattern is also
kind of tricky, but I'm getting used to it.

Just started learning it a couple days ago.

I love when you just come up with some lyrics and a chorus in a few moments time.

I wrote maybe 1/2 a song in like 5 minutes while having a smoke break earlier tonight.

Still need to put music to it; and it's only 2 verses and a chorus so far, but I love when the muse strikes.

Agreed. Those are usually the best songs, too.

Came up with a chord progression that might work to the aforementioned song.....

It's so great to create music!
