Congratulations goes out to GameTZ's XBox Live Call of Duty 4 MVP last night: EvilManDeadMan5!

We had a good showing for our first night, and a lot of fun! Hope to see more gamers each week! Next week is Halo 3 (Wed @ 10:00 pm EST)

And LVP goes to yours truly

You may ask why did I choose a game I'm not very good at . . . well, that's because I'm not great at any of the shooters, but I still love them and had a ton of fun. It was also fun hosting. It was the 1st time I ever hosted a private party, let alone a tournament. I was so caught up, I forgot to take a picture of our 1st round (so we counted that one as a "practice round"). We ended up fitting in 5 rounds (but as I said, 1st one didn't count).

We definitely learned a lot too. Like, don't play shipment in a tournament, especially on free for all. I can't tell you how many times I got killed the second I respawned!!! At least if you're gonna play that level, set it as team DM. Also enjoyed the headshots only mode we played on one of the levels (as long as you remember it's headshots only

) Another good mode is "Old School", where weapons/perks are picked up around the level (levels the playing field a little).

I'm not on that list, and I KNOW for a fact I am LVP. (true, I only made the last game, but still)

Nah, that's why I didn't include you on the list. It wouldn't be fair to label you as such, while only playing for 8 minutes. Next week, hopefully you can show your skills on Halo 3. I know I've witnessed them personally

Yeah, you definitely kicked butt on Shipment!

And to anyone (like knightlusion) that feels they may not be good enough for a tournement, just remember, this is just for fun, getting TZers together (not to mention I'm not good either).

P.S. I just got GTA4, so hopefully I'll be able to participate in the tourney at the end of the month.

oh, and BL4Z3H4Z3 was my stupid friend who joined for the end of one of the matches, but i told him it was only GTZ. sorry

Congrats to Crooked (xx Crooked xx on Xbox), our winner last nite.

RLeavitt came in a close 2nd.

We had a newcomer to GameTZ last nite, please welcome Pokey Hokie.

It was a good time, a lot of camping, but still a good time. It was only 5 of us, so you pretty much had to camp; if you came out in the open, you got picked off. I did choose smaller maps though, so you couldn't hide for long.

KittyKiller, Crooked, and I went on to some Team Deathmatch afterwards, where Crooked tore it up there too. Some people didn't like the name "KittyKiller", but I don't think it's felines he's talking about

Congrats to EvilManDeadMan for winning his 2nd MVP title on CoD4!

He won 3 out of 5 rounds (with MannyD winning one and RV03 winning the last one (he had just come in the last round)).

Was a lot of fun, with a good turnout of between 8 and 10 players (I think we lost a couple and gained a couple as we went thru). Played a bunch of different variations (headshots only, hardcore, old school, team)
