I'm wondering how many people will actually pay that much for downloaded movies that have no extras when you can usually get the DVD with all the extras for $15 or so if you know where to look.

I do like the new Shuffle, though.

Are these larger iPod's still hard drive based instead of flash?

The Shuffle and the Nano are still Flash based. The others are hard drive based.

Any particular reason why they haven't produced devices with larger flash drives besides production cost? I'd think that if it wasn't available, they could run multiple flash cores, like having four 4GB flash chips inside working together. The flash based units just seem so tiny in comparison to the drive based units.

There was some rumor awhile ago about apple making a cell phone. I noticed there was nothing about that.

I think cost is the largest reason. Flash memory is expensive.
