I finally got one, and I really like it. Gotta love 4GB of RAM.

That's what I think.
I should mention I love Time Machine. Instead of spending hours and hours installing everything again that I had on my old laptop, I just ran the restore backup feature in Time Machine and was up and running in about 35-40 minutes. All my settings, all my files, everything. Apple hit the jackpot with this one.

Glad to hear Time Machine works. So far I'm just letting it run automatic backups, which I've just assumed have been working. The unfortunate part about backups is that there is almost no way to test the restore feature. It is rare for a restore to merely be a convince, instead of "it must work now". Actually, I need to see if I can restore the version of VLC I was using last month, the new one keeps hitting "unexpected EOF" errors on all those flash vids I've downloaded.

I'm planning a purchase of the newly released 24" 3GHZ iMac in about a month. First thing I'll do is upgrade to 4GB also.
I've been selling off alot of my older pc's to make room for it.

Shouldn't have to sell too many of them, though, as it takes hardly any room.

True, but I just have an extremely messy home office. I like to spread everything out.

Do you know of any software (besides iLife 08) that I can use to make a video slideshow on dvd of photos with fancy fringes like background music, transitions, menus, etc? I'm thinking of cleaning up family and friends photos and maybe making a presentation for a friend's wedding later this year.

Final Cut Express would work for that. DVD Studio Pro would help with mastering the DVD.
