Not really sure what this could be or how it happened, but now when I put weight on certain parts of the plastic to the right and left of the touchpad, whatever i have typed deletes. I haven't spilled anything on it or dropped it recently. It's really strange. Any idea what this could be?

Very weird. I haven't heard of that one. You ought to contact one of the Geniuses at the Apple Store.
