I have seen all the references/howtos on the net, but curious if anyone who frequents this forum has done the deed, I have netbook lust, but am allergic to windows, and not sure if I want to do a linux box. Let me know, and thanks.

I haven't, but it does seem pretty sweet. Although, I find it hard to believe that it would run decently on a netbook. OS X on my 800Mhz iMac was pretty crappy. I guess for simple browsing it's probably fine.

You could just get a MacBook Air, with it already installed. * smile *

I know that apple has slashed prices on the MacBook Air, but have they reached sub $400 price yet?

No, because they include quality in the system instead of the absolute cheapest parts they can find. * smile *

Well, people have hacked OS X into working on non-Macs, so it can be done.

Netbooks are garbage, you can get a fully functional laptop for like $100 more. I understand the alliure of them as being cheap and internet ready but is it really worth that extra 100-$200? I don't see it.
