First off, Welcome to Gametz. What you get out of this site comes from whatever you put into it.
You can find great deals from games you no longer play and meet some great people along the way.
Some of the information found here is a little redundant but sometimes coming to a new site can be a tough and tiresome task. Finding information can be overwhelming. I will make it a little easier to find all the information you need as well as get the help you need.
Click me for some help/information about the site
Not sure where to go?? SiteMap to save the day!
If you need help, you can always feel free to contact me or a GameTZ Mentor.

Some general things to keep in mind:
New users are 'D to only trade with starred users. My personal preference is that of a or higher.
(stars rank in order of -> -> )
Take care to look at their past trades and Ratings.
Forum ettiquete is an acquired discipline or art. It is important to understand the rules of each forum as well as proper interaction protocol.

Ettiquete:
You likely want to jump into the forums and start interacting with other members of the community, right? Well before you do that, I may offer you some suggestions:
1st: Treat other people well. The Golden Nugget is tasty.
2nd: Obey the respective rules of each forum. See the above list.
3rd: Take care not to insult another member, unless sarcasm is evident and acquaintance met.
4th: Do NOT respond to trolls (internet bullies). This will incite more fevor and destroy any previously good intended threads.
5th: If someone goes beyond respecting you as a member, report them via the 'moderate' button on that specific post.
6th: Believe in your mentors. Seek them when in trouble.
Thanks. | Gooseman

The Items: search bar...and Go!
You probably want to start here after you setup your bio or if you want to jump in to trading start at compiling your available and wanted lists.
Use the Items: search bar to look for a game, a movie, a book, or any other random thing.
When you type in what you are looking for, a listing will come up. It will display certain properties about the item.
It will display the title, how many listings have it available, wanted, in a person's collection.
The second section, will have user actions. You can add it to your wanted , available, or collection.(if you have the game and don't wish to trade it at the time)
Clicking on any of those options will bring up another page and you can modify how you want the game to be received if you're adding it to your wanted list or what condition your game is in if it is available for trade.
Go ahead and get your lists started. Trades await you.
Good luck!

Typically, It is safer starting out your trading career dealing with people who have a reputation with the site.
It isn't exactly wise to trade with a new user because there are many opportunities for things to go wrong.
Before proceeding, make a list of games that you are willing to part with.
Typical trade Rules.<<<Read before proceeding.
Icons you will see near user names and what they mean.
Blue arrow icon means that someone wants something you have.
Red arrow icon means that someone has something you want.
Red and blue arrow icon means that you have match with the user.
|
Basic scenario...
I want Gears of War for the XBOX 360.
|
So, type in Gears of War Xbox 360 and click "Go"
The listing for Gears of War for the Xbox 360 will come up with information. |
[full]
The listing for Gears of War will tell you how many are available, how many are wanted, and how many are in collections.(Not for trade)
Clicking the link will bring you to the a list of names with people who have the game available for trade and of people who want the game as well. |
| Clicking on wanted, will add it to your wanted list. |
| Clicking on available, will add it to your available list. |
| Clicking on collection, will add it to your collection list. |
For now, click on wanted, because we want to get this game in a trade and add it to our wanted list.
You will be brought to a page to modify the conditions of how you want to receive Gears of War. You can modify what condition you would like the game to be in when you receive it, what value you give the game, if you want the instructions to be included, if you want the box to be included, and you can also include any other comments. Such as...I want Non-Greatest Hits, if it's important to you.
Now that this item is in your wanted list.
You can click on My Matches to see who you have matches with to trade the item with.
or
You can see which people have the item available from the listing, click on the user's listing and check out their wanted list and send an offer that way.
or
You can ask a person to CML(Check my list) or cash trade, in an offer.
Again feel free to post a question in this forum or send a personal message for assistance.

Printing Online Postage via Paypal
If you have a postage scale you might want to look into paying online for your shipping labels. It saves time and is a lot cheaper than going to a post office.

You can even use your nearest blue mailbox, granted that the parcel A) fits in the slot and B) is under 13 oz.
