Hello

Welcome to the UFO Discussion Forum
(also this forum applys to USO's "Unidentified Submerged Objects")

There is only one rule that I will be enforcing in this forum, and it is this: This will be a serious and fun discussion of UFO's and any subject relating to them, and if I see anyone coming into this forum who starts to treat it in any other manner (making fun of the subject, or abusing and being rude to the people who have come in here to talk UFO's), than I will delete their posts, AND ban them from entering this forum again.

So think twice before considering coming in here and acting like an ass.

OK....with that being said, let's get on with the discussion *yes*

I would like to see this forum used for a wide variety of UFO subjects....anything from your own personal experiences or sightings, to recommended books or documentaries. If you want to include UFO book reviews in here, than that would be great.
We could even schedule a night were we all watch a certain UFO program on TV, than the next day have a discussion about it in here.

Do you understand where I am going with this? I want this forum to be a safe haven were people who are strongly interested and believe in this subject can come to talk about anything they have on their minds, or share an experience they have had recently.

And also use it as an interactive forum to critique books, movies, TV programs, or any other UFO material.

I think the best way to introduce yourself when you come into this forum, would be to share any sightings or experiences you may have had in the past with a UFO. I will do that myself here shortly.

And once again, Welcome to the UFO Discussion *smile*

OK...as I promised, I will post my personal encounter with something unusual in the sky, I've had a few, but this is the one that stands out amongst the others, it was really something, and I had a guy standing right next to me seeing the same damn thing.

First of all, I want to say that this happened a few days after 9/11, and because of that, I am perfectly willing to accept that it was something our military was flying at that time, and it also happened in Colorado Springs, which is right next to Cheyenne Mnt., which is basically NORAD. In fact I had a perfect view of Cheyenne Mnt. as I was watching this thing. And one more thing about that day, as we ALL know, ALL commercial planes were grounded for awhile after 9/11, I cannot recall if they had lifted that ban on the day this happened, but I am almost certain that they had not done so.
So there is a very good possibility that this could not have been a regular plane.

OK...now onto what I saw.

I was working for Wal-Mart at the time, as a shopping cart collector, which means I was outside most of the time.
It was near the end of my shift, and my replacement was just coming in to take over. This is the other guy who saw this with me.

I was admiring the view of the Mountians, when all of a sudden, I noticed a small silver ball (looked very much like a X-mas ball or ornament that you put on your X-mas tree) come gliding over the store, it then made a slight sweep/curve in front of the Mountains, and just continued moving towards the North, in the direction of Denver. This thing was not large, but it was big enough to see with the naked eye, and made no sound at all.

Shortly after it started heading towards Denver, it stopped in front of the Mountain range. It than started fading in and out, almost as if it would dissappear, and than re-appear almost instantly...as if someone was turning a light on and off. But it was not a light really, it was just that I could see it, and than a second later it was gone, and than a second after that, it would come back. Not sure if that makes sense, but it is the best way I can describe it.

It was at this point that I noticed my co-worker looking up at the sky as well, and so I asked him if he was seeing this as well, and he said "YES".

So we both just stood there for a few minutes watching this thing fade in and out, and we were both very perplexed.
Just when we thought it was over, another ball showed up, and it looked as if it had come from the North (Denver), and was travelling South, almost in an attempt to meet up with this other ball. This new one was red in color.

It stopped across from the silver one, almost in a perfect line from it.
I am not sure how high up these things were, it was hard to tell, but it did not look to be very high in altitude.

We continued to watch these balls, and as we did, they started change positions. What I mean, is that the silver one would all of a sudden switch over to were the red one was, and the red one would switch over to were the silver one was. Kinda like they were flip flopping with each other.
They continued to do this odd behavior for a few minutes, and than they just faded completely out of sight.

And that was it....pretty crazy stuff *yes*

That is very cool. I experienced a UFO when I was a freshman in high school. I had just dropped off my girlfriend and was sitting in the parking lot admiring her and all of a sudden a silver orb caught my attention in the sky. It hovered for a little while and than darted off. It was very scary for me. I mean I had dealt with paranormal occurances but that was just a moment I had never really expected.

Very cool. Thank you for sharing.

Yeah, I forgot to mention in my sighting that this happened during the day, early afternoon, with a parking lot full of people, but it seemed me and the other employee were the only ones seeing it.....but I think that was only becuase we were the only ones looking up.

I've heard several people say that the only reason people don't see UFO's more is because they don't bother to look up anymore.....that's very sad in my opinion.

cool stories. ive often wondered what the REAL story behind secret military technology is. a part of me wants to think that a lot of the things people see in the sky that are truly unexplainable are something like that.

i dont think ive ever seen anything that could be considered a ufo. i remember when i was a kid and my family was driving somewhere i would often lay in the backseat and look up in the sky out of the window wanting to see something!

I've been pretty interested in underwater UFO's lately. There a quite a few reports from Canada about them. 2/3 of the earth is water and we have billions of people living on land so I think it would certainly be possible there is a huge base underwater out there somewhere.

Yep, that's why I added that line to the main post.

The USO reports are starting to pick-up, and have been on a steady increase for a few years now.
I have watched a few interesting programs on the TV about them, and you used to not hear a single report about this new event, but more and more are starting to be reported.

And as you said, it makes perfect sense. The Earth is 2/3 water, so it would be the perfect way to hide right under our noses, literally, LOL.

But the more we un-cover about USO's, the more we find out that they have probably been around as long as regular UFO's reports, if not longer.
Some of those TV shows mentioned just recently un-covered Navy reports that date back to WWII

One in particular involved a fleet, yes an entire fleet of ships from both the U.S. and Great Britian. We were involved in somekind of joint Navy exercise between the two countries, when a large cylindar like object started to follow and fly around these ships, some reports even claim that they were so close that some sailors were able to see figures in the windows of this UFO or USO.

It was crazy, and it ended with this object literally diving into the ocean, and it was reported that it actually "banged" into one of the ships as it was going back into the ocean.

woah thats a pretty wild story too. if you think about it, a UFO/USO could easily come and go into the ocean as they please because if they enter out in the middle of the ocean, the odds of anyone seeing them are pretty slim.

I'm sorry vDub, don't hate us.....I'm sure eventually you will have the encounter you want....and you know, you may end up hoping you had never had it, depending on how weird it is.

I think sometimes we like to think we can handle a situation, but than when that situation really happens, we end up handling it much different than what we expected.

But seriously.....Welcome to the Forum....and don't let your lack of a sighting depress you, I think it is really neat that you believe so strong w/o any concrete sighting.
To tell you the truth.....I have basically believed ALL my life, and really did not have any serious sightings myself until later in my life.
In fact, the one that I mentioned above, happened in 2001, just 7 years ago.

And before that, I had not seen much of anything....just some weird lights at night, but Hell that could have been anything.

I've decided in order to help spice this forum up some, I will start posting some current sightings from the MUFON site.
You guys are of course welcome to discuss these sightings and comment on them, and as I said, at the moment I will be pulling them from the MUFON site, which you can check out yourself.
As I get more time, maybe I will find other reports from other sites I can post as well, and Please if you come across something while surfing the net, Please post it here.

OK....here is one that just happened Thursday evening in Illinios.

Was night fishing with 4 other close friends @ our recreation club. There was no other people on the grounds last night. None. I say this because @ first I thought people were shooting fireworks in the sky above our heads. Not possible though.

One of my good friends was sitting on the dock directly behind me aproximatly 5 feet away. He said hey look @ that. When he said that everyone who was with us looked striaght above our heads @ the same time which was really erie because its like we all knew what to look for and where to look. As soon as I lifted my chin to look up "Bam" a super super bright "white" ball of what looked like to be fire light up the dock the water it light everything up like daytime. I would say about a good 4-5 seconds passed of staring @ this thing which @ the time was staionary but seemed like as soon as we all locked onto it it began to move slowly northeast in the direction of chicago in the next 4 seconds we watched whatever that thing was fly horizontally without sound moving so fast it had to of covered miles before the light completly dissapeared. This thing was only between 1000-3000 ft above. No more than that because I just cant see anyting being that big in mass and farther away than that. It was absolutly mind boggeling as to what we seen. It was so disturbing that I had watery eyes and I dont know why? I want an answer because its just eating me up inside wondering what the hell we all seen. Everyone of us texted each other today to see If we were all thinking about it and Im guessing If it were you, you would do the same. Because we were all thinking about it. The whole thing lasted a miere 8-10 seconds but I will never forget that light. It was amazingly bright and pure but had a undefined edge to it making it appear as a huge white fireball simular to a flair or big big mortar that has a trailing effect. It was not any of these things though I can asure you this. Un-Explainable

Feel free to contact me for more details or If you have any information, maybe someone else seen it as-well or there was a report of it in the area so I can asure me and my friends were didnt imagine it.

Thanks Ryan

yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to explain to vDub....sometimes you really don't know how you are gonna react until the situation is upon you
I am the same way about surviving disasters or really traumatic events.
I like to think that I am a strong enough person to be able to handle them, and hopefully not panic like most of the population would be doing, but I really cannot say until something that horrific is really going on.....I have been thru allot of crap already in my life, and I think it has prepared me for dealing with future disasters that may come.
But I am just talking in general about a world wide disaster, and how I would deal with it.
I would not consider the arrival and finally the confirmation of alien life to be a "horrific" event....I would welcome it with open arms, and try to believe that their intentions are "good natured", although I know realistically that you need to be somewhat cautious, because unfortunately their intentions may well be of a nagetive nature.
So I suppose I am saying that I think you need to keep an open mind for both possibilities, but I have always had the best hopes for the human race, and will continue to hope that our interaction with other intelligent beings can be a positive one.
If we can just stop taking the stance of: "shoot first and ask questions later"

We need to learn that NOBODY responds well to that kind of mentality, not even species that may not be from around here.

According to the Mufon site, this past week-end (10-18 to today) has been very active.

Several sitings on Saturday, and even a few just TODAY.....this morning.

Here is one from this morning, around noon.

I work as a technician for at&t and I was traveling south on I 880 from Hayward to Fremont and I noticed a cigar shaped object that appeared to be at a 45 degree angle above the earth in my approximation to be above the East Foothills of San Jose or Mt. Hamilton area. It first appeared as a long cigar shaped object then as I kept watching it changed into a ball of light pinpoint then it faded from view. This all happened in the course of 3 minutes from 11:20 am to 11:23 am. I tried to see other motorists also saw it but was not sure if others had seen it as well. This is the first time that I have ever seen something like this. When it was it's long cigar shape it was a whitish grey then turned into a ball that looked like a star in the mid morning sky.It wasn't spectacular looking but it was definitely not a vapor trail of an airplane from what I could tell. I don't know what it was but I am curious if anyone else saw it. Thanks, Steve

One of the latest reports from the MUFON site: (date of event is Thursday, 10-23-08)

these lights (starting out as 4 and ending up 6) have been moving in figure 8 patterns and coming back together. I called my mother in law in atlanta who was witnessing the same event, as well as my aunt who lives several cities away.

I was inside when my father came in to tell me to come look at these wierd lights, which at first i thought was spotlights until i called my mother in law in the next state who was seeing the same thing.
this along with there not being anything resembling beams going to it got me really confused as to what i was seeing.
5 minutes into watching this we (my fiance and i) heard what sounded like jets coming and going into no specific direction in the sky.
after about 20 minutes it was gone.

i have tried calling several other websites where i was met with very rude people telling me that i was giving a prank call. (thanks nuforc, you jerks)

there are several helicopters circling around, this is just to weird.

i couldn't take pictures or video because all i have is a very cheap cell that takes crappy pictures, sorry.

if anyone here at the website needs more info then call the # i left, there are about 8 witnesses.

zip codes here are 35904 in gadsden al. and 30342 in atlanta ga

Hey guys

I want to start using this forum for UFO Book discussions as well as sightings.

So if you have recently enjoyed a UFO book and want to share it with the group, than please do so.

There is an author by the name of Whitley Strieber that I enjoy reading. He has written several UFO related books, but probably his most famous is Communion, which was made into a film starring Christopher Walken.
It is an account of his dealings with aliens at his cottage in upper New York state.

He also has a sequel to that book that not many people know about called Transformation, which is pretty good as well.

I have both of these books in my collection.

Whitley has since wrote more UFO/alien encounter books, which I have not gotten yet, but do have on my book want list.
Including one called "The Grays".

I've had 1 strange encounter before. After I got home one night my mom dropped me of and I was wlking toward the door and then I looked up and I saw about 8 white lights flying around in the sky right above me. It was very very wierd. When I went to bed I looked out the window and the were GONE. *frown* It was the only and weirdest UFO expierience I've ever had. I've heard alot of very strange stories about UFO's. There was this really strange one I read at my local library. I'll share it with you guys once I get it. Cheers, Josh
