A place to list and talk about an upcoming RPG titles for any platform. If someone else wants to work on a list of RPGs scheduled for release in other territories besides North America, I'll post it to the top of the thread (this post) once you got it done.

This is a work in progress, please post me links to other titles if you know about something else. I tried to only pick titles that have a certain amount of "substance" to them, not every single game announced. Basically either the publisher has to be pretty well known and on solid ground, or they have to have some videos/screens at least. If someone wants to give me release dates for any of these I'll add them in.

Lotta good crap on there. Cannot WAIT to get my hands on Wrath of the Lich King, new class, a big PvP zone with siege and such, inscription, Arthas, oh my!
And Fallout 3, I'm interested to see how it turns out too.

I'm creaming my shorts for Lost Odyssey for 360 and Fallout 3 (not yet sure which platform but PC if mine can run it). The Sonic RPG has me curious too.

Nice list! I'm especially pleased that you've included Avernum 5! I'm eager for Dragon Age, Fallout 3, and Sacred 2. Avernum 5 shouldn't be too far off. |

Yeah, I've been a fan of Vogel's games since Exile. I'm looking forward to Dragon Age also but I think we're still a ways off. They announced it way too soon, IMHO.

I'm going to reserve Age of Conan after checking out a bit more media in the last coupla weeks. Looks great, and I love the Conan universe. Should prove a very nice diversion.

I love the fact that they're still throwing out RPG's without hesitation for the Ps2. It just seems like the GC and xbox died, and the ps2 is still doing fairly well.

I think the US has seen almost everything we're going to for PS2, but if we're lucky we might get one of those sequels I mentioned above. So far those are Japan only releases.

Mana Khemia is coming out late March for PS2. Can't wait for that one, it's the followup to the Atelier Iris series.  Now if only that Atelier Iris DS game would get localized. |

Thanks to Vapor and MyAlterEgo. Added Mana Khemia. I think it is a big mistake on their part not to keep Atelier Iris in the name somewhere. I would have completely overlooked this release were it not for you guys talking about it, and I bought all 3 Atelier games release to US so far.

I played the demo. It's not much different then the PS2 version (It IS prettier, though). But it still has that long Magic/Monopoly fun multiplayer thing going for it.

According to EGM, Lost Odyssey wasn't that great. I feel a bit dismayed, now. |

The story sounds like it could be very good, depending on how they handle it. I don't expect much innovation in the combat, etc., it's a JRPG after all. Then again, I'm happy with a turn-based system in light of all the new-fangled real-time mixes we've had over the years .

Obsidian (KOTOR 2, Neverwinter Nights 2) is also working on a multiplatform RPG set in Aliens universe, published by Sega. Will be worth keeping an eye on imo. |

Is this going to include the original game as well? I missed out on Persona 3 when it first came out and was going to pick it up recently on ebay, and it's going for $40 + used, but I see this one is going to be $30 new at Gamestop. If this FES also includes the original game, I'll just pick it up instead.

-Avernum V is already out for Windows and Mac.
-Mass Effect will be coming to the PC
