Hey Roger, long time, no see.
Good idea, let's keep the pressure on, so he simply has to start using the forums again. |

Especially the way you played it. I tried going that route in Survivor I (the nice guy) and got backstabbed by my alliance with about 5-6 people left. |

I remember reading over the thread when I got shoved into the hosting role at the end of GTZ Survivor II (since I needed ideas and an overall "feel" for the game). Seemed like a shame that it happened to you like that.
Playing as a nice guy is not an easy thing, to be honest. It required a near hyper-awareness of what was going on in the game, and the ability to sniff out the different alliances that were forming between different people. I wasn't always right, but I managed to do fairly well overall. I really played my ass off, although it didn't always appear to be that way to some of the other players, I'm afraid.

Yeah, I'm sure there was much more to it than just being your usual nice self. You won that final immunity challenge, for instance, and that saved your ass big-time. You certainly earned your title through some great play, while I relied more on having an alliance with the guys who seemed to win all the challenges. I always seemed to finish 2nd or 3rd in the challenges. Akira was a monster, which is why I picked him first, even though he was behind my ouster in the first game. Tough to lose him like that in this Survivor go round.
It's funny, I remember being a little surprised getting voted out. I really didn't think I was going to win, but I thought I was safe for a couple more rounds, until it came down to our 4-man alliance. But Akira and Batt/Fragment played it well and I was gone, soon followed by Ansky, our team captain, who realized he was next on the hitlist. I was ticked, but maybe more at myself for assuming too much. I even voted for Akira to win at jury time, lol. |

Yeah, you always worry come voting time. I didn't have any illusions about winning the game - sadly, with the exception of one solid member (Dracula), the rest of my drafted team (we had 6-person teams) were pretty lousy and unreliable. I had to work super hard to keep things rolling, and that was a lot harder than I expected. A lot of things occurred behind the scenes to get me to where I was. That final immunity challenge was crucial, though, since sinnie and nalod6 were tight as could be (regardless of their trying to deny it to me... lol). It was a fun game, but I'm glad to take a break from it this time around - besides, I'd have the hugest target on my back now!
