Yep, another "Freebie Box" that goes from person to person. Only catch here is that you can only take out and put in complete PS2 games. Rules are:
1. You CANNOT put in any "annual" sports titles (Madden, NHL, NCAA, etc.) unless someone has specifically requested them
2. Games you take are not subject to the standard "no trade, no sell" clause of the Freebie Forum (if Yamas is okay with this)
3. ONLY GOLD STAR TRADERS can participate (absolutely no exceptions)
4. If you're close to getting a gold star and want to get on the "Alternates" list, post here letting me know and you can take a spot if/when one opens up
5. If you ever want to drop out of the box, I ask that you do one of these two things:
a.) wait for your turn, take two games, then send the box on its way
b.) drop out before it gets back to you and "forfeit" your games to the box
Here's the list of members:

And here's what's currently in the box:

Disney's Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers

You know what, I thought that double gold was 50 trades. Single gold or better should be fine. I'll update the original post.

I just weighed 24 random PS2 games and it came out to just over 8 pounds. A 9 pound Media Mail package is $5.50 on USPS.com... might be less if you do it through PayPal (I can't seem to log in today at all, so I can't check).

BTW, it just occurred to me that the only way for this to work is for everyone to send me their two games first, then I put the box together and send it out. I know, sounds like a scam, but obviously I'm not about to ruin my reputation here for some low value PS2 games. The point is, if I just start out the box with two games, Darkslime will only be able to "choose" what I put in, and so on. But if everyone is cool with it, the 11 others can send their games to me, then I'll have to add 4 games (2 for my "entry fee" then another 2 to replace the ones I'll claim) and then send the box on its way. Let me know if anyone has a problem with this... or a better way to do it.

I have no problem with that.
It will take me a couple days to round up the 2 games for the box.

that would be a hell of alot of games in one box and would be hard to track who takes what

Not really. 24 games in the box and everybody posts what they sent and what they take out.

Yeah, it would only be 24 games and there would be a list of what is in the box at all times in the "official" post for the box. People would post what they took out and what they put in. There would be no "surprise!" when you get the box, but that's a small price to pay to make sure no one cheats the system, or makes a legitimate error by forgetting to add something.

I'd really like to keep it complete games only. The way I see it, if it costs someone $5.50 to ship the box, plus they have to put two games in, they should at least get two complete games out of it.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure if this is worth the shipping cost, as none of the games that you guys have mentioned sound like something I would want to keep.

Hey guys here's an idea: how about a "virtual" freebie box, everyone posts what they have, the main post is updated, and whoever picks "x" game will receive it straight from the owner, once somebody has shipped their 2 games to somebody, they're automatically bumped to the top of the list so they can receive their picks and so on, well sorta, I know, this whole thing kinda resembles a site we all know and love, doesn't it?
what do you guys think? |

Good idea... except that someone could end up not getting their games picked for a LOOOOOONG time and never get a chance to make a pick of their own.
I think we can do this with only 8 people if we have to. I'd like to have at least 10, but if two more people sign up, we could make a decision to go with it or not.
