What are the major differences between Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas series and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter series?
I've briefly tried the 1st in the 360 series of these games, and was wondering what the major differences are between the two series?
It seems that R6V2 is quite popular right now, and probably would be the better one to get over GRAW 2, but let me know your thoughts, which do you prefer (and why)?
P.S. Real funny story: I tried GRAW 1 online for the 1st time last night (only tested the game previously). I saw the red diamonds and followed them, then once the person was outlined in red, I started shooting. I did pretty well . . . until I saw the summary screen and saw that I had 1 kill and 24 deaths!!! Of course, that was because I was shooting my teammates! In almost every game I've ever played, red is the enemy! So I shot! Needless to say, as soon as we hit the lobby, I left, out of embarrassment. The thing I didn't understand was why nobody said anything??? Only reason I had 1 kill, was because I shot someone who was shooting at me; thought he was just a noob, turns out the noob was me. LOL

Yeah, GRAW's multiplayer is so confusing. I did the exact same thing as you (killing my teammates), and I think a lot of people do their first time. It really is set up pretty poorly.
IMO, Vegas is better. I love the cover system, the modes for online play are better, the solo mode is better, just everything is better.

Vegas is the best...I did really enjoy GRAW 2's single player.
GRAW really makes camping more enticing with their larger maps..but is still enjoyable.

after CoD they're both pretty boring to me  I tried getting into RSV1 twice and even with co-op we were just simply having no fun whatsoever 
That being said, I have the LE up for trade if you're interested

I think that graw2 had a faaaaaaaaaaaar superior campaign. I liked they're weapon selection more (r6v-15 or 20 graw2-50ish), the graphics, the helicopter missions, the amount of a.i control, the storyline, the cover system, the ability to control heavy vehicles, etc.............. the only part of gameplay that Vegas has graw 2 on would be the multi player as I didn't care for graw2's very much. |
