I gotta question about this thing, you need TWO 360's to do this? The instructions I've read on XBOX.com say something about ELITE, is just referring to the 120gb "ELITE" hard drive, or do you actually need an elite system for this? |

You just need a bigger HDD if im correct

You just need 1 360 and a hard drive of equal or greater size than the one you're using now. So it'll transfer from one 20GB to another 20GB, from a 20 to a 120, from a 120 to a 120, but not from 120 to 20, according to MS.

You need 1 360. You keep the smaller HDD on your 360 console, the adapter is USB and plugs into the back of the system then into the larger HDD. You then put the disc into the 360 and go from there.

i just bought an elite which would be here by saturay/monday
i have my 20GB HD From my broken 360 HD
So i`ll want to transfer everything from that to the elite HD

I'm willing to send it to some established traders without pending a trade, otherwise I'd make a trade of it. Plus I think you were my first trade on TGN Amir so I don't mind doing it as a non-trade if you'd prefer to keep small things out of your trades.

yup. well not necessarily unless they r both on HDs then yes. U link the two 360s so that the memory is being shared and u can copy ur old 360s content memory into ur new 360

You put the disc in your 360 with your 20GB hdd on the 360 console.
Then you connect the USB cable to the back of your 360 and the other end to your 120GB hdd
Then you initiate the transfer and let it finish.
Now your 20GB hdd is empty and your 120GB contains everything the 20GB hdd did.
There is no hooking two consoles together to share memory and I don't know why that was mentioned.

I know its quite hectic around the holidays, but I ask (for curiosity) if you know when it might be sent to him?
No really hurry..I'm not exactly running out of HDD space as we speak..and hell, my Hard Drive is still in transit from Hong Kong.
Just wondering, hopefully it can go from him to me, then back to you. (Or whoever needs it)

Are these transfer kits only for 20-120gb? cause I got one from when I got my 120gb on clearance at Target for 89.xx and it refused to work with my friend, who wanted to transfer from his 20gb-60gb. |

it`s supped to work
you can transfer from a 20GB to any larger HD
but you can`t transfer from the Larger HD to a 20GB
