Damn just look at that thing! AWESOME!

It looks so slick being like gunmetal black! What is really appealing is not only is is something awesome tied in with an awesome game but it also has a 250GB HDD!!! * shock *

Good timing too. I was contemplating on getting a new 360 since mine is getting worn out and doesn't have HDMI. That on top of the fact I have a 120GB HDD and am finding space is going to become an issue... this is perfect. I am hoping to pre-order and hope I can swing the $399+ (USD) it's going to cost. Sweet. * cool smile *

Yes. I install games to let them run better without putting as much wear on the system. As I said it's getting a bit old it seems. (Doesn't have HDMI model).

I also have over 100 Arcade games and those are getting larger and larger in size...

Yup. My thoughts as well.

Not to mention (for now) they aren't going to be selling the 250GB alone. Probably cause it would cost too much for them. (They charge $120+ for the 120GB) so this bundle (Or future bundles) is the only way to get the 250GB.

So yup, as you said. $100 more and you get all those extra's. Well worth it.

I do. I only keep about my top 5 played games installed. Sometimes more. But I wont have to limit as much with a 250GB.

Even if I delete all my 360 game installs and demo's and vid's I think I still have only about 80-90 GB. Sure that isn't a problem memory wise but with all the games in the future like XBLA games and DLC I like the idea of having more space. Plus like I said I like to have games installed and not have to keep removing them as often.

No. As I said I like to keep games installed unless I NEED to take them out. So I would prefer to have the space. Also with all the DLC and crap it's getting crazy. Like I said I have about 30GB left and I only have like 4 games installed. 30GB out of 120 seems a bit on the low side to me.

Yup!

Well actually no...

If it was the same deal only it was a 120GB HDD I might just go with getting a cheaper $299 normal model. I was planing on getting a new 360 at some point but these just sweetened the deal. I do like that it's MW2 though. But the fact it comes with the 250GB is the deal breaker for me.

yeah i have my original pro with only 150mb left on my 20gb and been thinking about a new console, to damn bad im too poor to afford a that one, although i might just be picking up a premium one with 60gb because i really don't buy much arcade games and the only things i really download are dlc and CoD on my hdd.

Better move fast on getting a Pro 60GB. As with the price lowered on the Elite model the Pro's are being phased out. Only two models (Not counting special editions) are going to be offered. The Arcade and the Elite. (No idea why the hell they keep insisting on selling the arcade. Why not just drop the Pro to $199 and keep the Elite at the new $299 is beyond me...)

This is actually a great deal. I saw it earlier and immediately thought it would be way overpriced because it's MW2, but this is actually a deal if you were going to buy a whole other system and HDD. If I were to buy it, it would be to keep it as a collector's item in box, sealed. I don't have that kind of extra money though to spend on something I wouldn't use a lot right now

I honestly feel the only peopel who will buy this are people with money to burn. With the360's track record for breaking, and the fact that 98% of people who preordered MW2 already have a 360.

Well I certainly don't have money to burn. However like I said my 360 is getting worn (Installing all my games I play a lot to help save it to last longer helps...) I don't have an HDMI version and my space is not as much as I'd like to have. So the fact I was wanting to get a new 360 and was also going to get MW2 AND this one comes with a 250GB AND an extra controller... well it is a good deal from my point of view.

If you mean cause you've already used the License Transfer tool then as long as your are still signed in to Xbox Live you could still use your content. It would only affect it if you are offline.

yep, until november, so i want to hold off for a little bit longer before i bite, but if i sell my 360 first i may be able to afford the MW2 console, although i would've liked it better if they included the hardened edition and for $100 more had the Prestige edition.

Another thing, not knocking the MW2 system, I woulda picked up the E5 edition if it actually had some sort of Resident Evil feel to it other then making it red. So I do give the mprops for actually making it look like the game its representing.

You DO realise that this system is only coming out in November right? It is only Pre-order now. So if you wanted to wait then this might even be better for you. You get it in November and depending on the date you can transfer again you don't have to wait long (If at all).

Yeah I was thinking about how it actually looked like something that represented the game pretty good too. Compared to some of the other "Special" consoles.

And how is that having money to burn? I was planing on getting a new 360 at some point and I was planing on buying MW2 when it came out. So combining the two and getting an extra controller and double the space HDD and saving money (Compared to trying to buy it all seperately) is having money to burn how exactly?

well, spending $400 on something you already own that still works with a harddrive that most people wish they could afford to upgrade to might be one reason.

Well I suspect we will probably see more of these "Special 250GB Editions" in the future. Like maybe an ODST one or a Bioshock 2 one or whatever. I don't think they'd go through the trouble of making a 250GB HDD and only have it on ONE special edition. It might be too pricey for them to sell separately (for now) but including them in special edition consoles seems like a smart choice. I also fully expect them to be sold separately at a later time. Maybe if they can get the cost down...

That isn't money to burn. That is using my money I do have effectively. I put a lot of wear on my console. I can tell this one isn't going to last that much longer, or even if it does it's not running at optimum performance. I rather have a system I have another 3 year warranty on before this one goes and I have no console at all. I have bought one 360 myself. ONE. On launch. It's gotten replaced twice by RRoD. I think after 3+ years of lots of use and getting back two crappy "Refurbished replacements" that buying a new 360 console isn't something considered "Burning money". I could understand if I was selling or trading it off and buying a new one every few months. I could understand if this was my 5th console I was buying. It is neither. So I really don't see the whole money to burn thing. But I guess you just view it differently.

Isn't that for RRoD only? The normal warranty is still 1 year for every other issue.

On topic, I like the way the new console looks... I wonder how good it will sell.

actually i think it is now 3 years for RROD and E74 error while the rest is still one year, but some people will make their system RROD if another problem occurs outside that 1 year and some will just file a false claim. but after you pay to fix it once they reset the warranty supposedly.

I do view it differently, here's my view. You own a console that is under warranty and can be replaced for free. You opt to get a $400 system.

No my console is not under warranty. Warranty for 3 years is only from the time you purchased it. With each time they fix it (if it's past the 3 years) they give you an additional 3 months I believe. (might be only 1 month). It is NOT constantly 3 years everytime you get a RRoD and it resets to another 3 years contrary to popular belief. They are only obligated to give you 3 years on your original purchase. After that they are no longer "Required" to fix it. So as of Nov 22nd 2008 my console was no longer under warranty. It has no warranty period. The next time I get RRoD I'm crap out of luck with no console.

Therefore I look at this as an investment into something I do on a regular basis. I can justify the expense. So in my views it isn't Money to Burn. It is investing in my hobby.

Well personally I don't have a problem if he thinks it isn't worth the money. That is his personal choice of course. I'm not telling him to go get one. I just don't like the fact that he is implying that I'm just throwing money around and that I have money to burn. I don't. I have to make choices what I want too. And a new console is something in my opinion I could use. Do I absolutely need it? No. I could wait until my current system dies of course. But just because I think a deal is a good thing to take advantage of at a good time means I have money to burn? But whatever.
