What's your thoughts? We all know MW2 will be fudging fantastic and L4D2 (after seeing the demo) is really exciting to see. Don't know how fresh it will be, but anything with zombies is a BAMF.
AC2? AC was awfully repetitive (literally, doing the same missions in the same context in the same order).. anything different? AC has always been a visually appealing game and the running on walls stuff is fun but there wasn't much to do other than carry out the main mission. |

It looks to me like this game is going to be even better then the first. Less repetitive (Although not confirmed) and to me personally the setting looks like it has more. But that's just my personal opinion. I just think Venice is looking like a better area to have it take place in. And yay! Now when you fall in water you can swim and don't die! That is always good. |

They did claim that it is less repetetive. They also claim that less time will be spent in the "present day" animus parts. Plus 2 killing blades. |

I stopped playing the first one cause I couldn't take the repetition. |

I finished the first one while completing all of the missions. Even though they were the same, they were still fun and the game was a blast to play and explore. I don't know, I think I'm one of the only people who didn't get sick of it. I guess to me it's like saying you got bored with Halo or Call of Duty because all's you do is shoot things.

I just don't like when games claim to be open ended (like Fable) and then have severe limitations. Even if the entire world is accessible, if the world itself has nothing to do it in, it defeats the purpose. |

same with me. I loved the game and completed in 100% too bad my account was stolen the day after I found the last flag

As long as I don't need to collect a zillion flags again, it should be fun. |

I played and beat AC on the 360...then a year or so later when I got my PS3 I played and beat it there. I loved it equally both times. I just really enjoyed the game. The repetition wasn't a big deal for me, I was ok with it. And how people who play RPGs can say it was repeititious is beyond me.
I already paid for my preorder at Amazon (Ubi sent me a promo code for $5 off at Amazon) for $50.99 shipped. Use code AMZNACII for $5 off + use the free shipping and it's yours for $51. To me that is too good to pass up.

An RPG with variety to the missions (like Fallout) is different than an RPG-esque action game that requires you to consistently kill a target over and over. |

It was repetitive because each section was exactly the same only different layout/look to each city. For every target you had to do some side stuff to help people or whatever to get clues. Climb towers to get points to show up so you could search out more. Then head to the guild guy and tell him what you found out and get "permission" to kill the target. Then you had to get to the target and kill them (Though granted those parts where different and neat to see). However it was the process of doing all those that was repetitive. It was the exact same stuff in each city and for each target. No variety. Does that mean it wasn't fun? Hell no. But when people say it was repetitive I can surely see why. |

I found that if you smoke a lot of weed while playing that game it looses its repetitiveness |

I'm psyched for Assassin's Creed II. I know the first game was repetitive, but somehow I still loved it. The little camera spin and the hawk noise it did whenever I got to the top of a tower just felt good. Jumping in the hay after was always a pleasure. I did almost all the side missions in all the locations. It was a beautiful game and the setting was unique and interesting. Getting chased through some medievil city was fun too.
After I played Assassin's Creed, I traded it away and I've regretted that. I've thought about getting it again, just to play it once in a while. But, I'm trying to hold out for the sequel now.
The recent Prince of Persia game was similar... same game engine, I think. |

I am excited for this one. AC 1 had great gameplay but as it has been said was repetitive as hell. In AC II they can fix their mistakes and make a kickass game. |

I've been looking at Ubisoft games on videogamepricecharts.com and they lose 20 dollars of value within 2 months.
I think I will wait. |
