I figure set some goals for myself.
These are all personal and realistic goals. What are yours?
1) Continue to not eat meat.
2) Tone up. Get a Six pack I'm seriously going to work on that one.
3) No Beer. Empty Calories.
4) Yoga, Yoga, Yoga.
More as I think of them.

These are more like personal goals. I figure I'd bring them up becuase this is a time when most people choose to embetter themselves.

You can reword it any way you like, but both you and I know that you've made NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS.
I'm not sure if you understand. I had caught them all. |

1. Continue working my butt off in my General Surgery residency
2. Try to bench 350lbs, instead of my 320lbs, (really gotta get the mind psyched up for that)
3. Get my XM Satellite radio installed sometime this year
4. And stop spending money on new computer applications

Quit boozing nightly
Quit smoking
Invade and take control of a foreign country (because I don't wanna control america...being the land of the free and all.)

I'm on the verge of quitting my drinking (won't even try to quit smoking until the booze are gone; way too hard to not smoke while intoxicated).
Turns out I'm too lazy to invade and take over a foreign country, though.
And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They'd probably put my head in a guillotine
But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only. |

Hah.
I remember one night in college when I decided I'd quit smoking. I put out a cigarette on the top of my hand. My friends were mortified.
I have a nice scar from it too.
Now, as an ex-smoker, I hate the smell of smoke.

How's that for self inflicted masochism?

As to why one starts? I can't answer that. Too many possible reasons.
As to why one doesn't quit: Many reasons, one of which is Nicotine is as addictive as heroin. But go go government for letting it remain legal.
Can't blame the government, they gotta get billions of dollars in kick backs from somewhere, right? Right?

I know the reasons for not quitting, I will just never understand why one would start in the first place.

Even though it's a couple months away I'll go ahead and post my goals for the rest of the year and next year. I wanna continue to my recent trend of staying sober. No drinking or marijuana. I will still smoke cigarettes though until I get some sense. Wanna work out more, been lifting weights lately. Need to trim down a bit, and just overall change my whole attitude on life. And hopefully get a fudging job. |

Start Dating again.
Not let work stress me out so much.
