I chose Dark, though I am doing both. Dark Side also seems to be a lot more fun, too.

Dark Side seems to be much more fun and seems to make battles easier (for me, at least). I can use my dark force powers over an over again with the reduced cost and kick the crap out of just about anything I come across.
I am very much looking forward to going through the entire quest again as a Light Jedi. Should be a tad more difficult, but it's supposed to be harder to stay on the good path. |

I was totally dark, but gain quite a bit of light points when I helped the wookiees get rid of the slavers. I should of killed the cheif where he stood, but even a Dark Jedi can see a point to helping the wookiees. A FULL SCALE WAR!! |

Light side, I don't think I've received a single dark point, except when I killed Juhani, but she wouldnt cooperate.

I made a new dark Side Character (Soldier, this time). Should I even bother becoming a Jedi Consular? Or make him a Guardian? I'd like some opinions before I play that character again (I'm just leaving Taris).

If you're a Soldier and you're going for the Dark Side, I see no reason to choose anything other than Guardian. Go for the complete bad-ass-fighting-machine package. |

I should have made my other character a Consular.
PS - Don't pick Soldiers... Most of their stats (computer use, etc) take 2 points to go up 1.

I picked the last Asian guy (I think) who has no facial hair, somewhat short hair and medium lenght sideburns. Looks the most like me from the choices.
Next time through, for my Light Side Jedi, I'm going to pick a female character. |

It's fun, but I doubt it's as much fun as dark side. Plus, it's more expensive, lol. When I got off Tatooine and that one women asked me to buy her Desert Wraid Plate, I had to give her 200 more credits then what she was asking to get any light side points. And I had to buy HK-47 for full price. I can't wait till I get through with my light side character cause I really want to be on the Dark Side.

I got HK-47 for $3000 and I'm Light Side you definitely should of invested in persuade with your skill point it really helps...Since you are doing light side I have a question for you, how do you do the bounty hunter iniation from Mannan without getting dark points? Do you know if that's possible?

I made threats and got HK-47 for 2500. That lady I threatened her at first but then she pleaded me not to take it cuz it's all her and her kids had. I felt bad for the digital children and gave her 500 credits for it.

My "guy" this time around is a girl... and she's pretty hot, too. I picked the portrait with short brown hair (not the REALLY short hair, but the next shortest). Kinda' looks like a little Pink, a little Halle Berry.
BTW, when you play as a female, the flirting that happened between your male character and Bastila now happens between your female character and Carth. If you thought he was annoying before, imagine how much it sucks having his conversations peppered with inappropriate and awkward sexual advances. |

If you're dead set on not getting ANY dark side points in the whole game, then you cannot join the secret league of bounty hunters. But you can easily complete those missions, get those dark side points and still be VERY high on the light side (or even still become maxed out). I'm going through as a light side Jedi, but I am still going to join the bounty hunters. There are some really cool items to be had... not to mention a ton of credits. |

Yeah I decided to go through with them, so along with the Dark points for killing Bendak I have been light through and through. I'm not maxed out but I'm pretty close, it's amazing how many light side points can be had on Korriban. Who knew?

Remember Twitch from the Duels on Taris? A guy like him (I forget what their species is called) is standing by himself on Manaan.. near the Republic base. Leave ALL of your party at your ship, and approach him alone. Only then will he talk to you about the Genoharrden or whatever they call themselves.

You may have to have "accidentally" received some datapad on Tatooine first though. Not sure on that part. |
savior
| | #40 posted July 30, 2003 at 5:27pm (EDT) |
After killing Calo Nord, you will be approached by a guy claiming that he has a Datapad that you dropped. Take it from him and you will find that someone wants to meet you on Manaan. Go to where Broccoli told you to go, switch your party so that it's just you, and then talk to the Rodian. He'll give you all the info you need on how to join. |
