Ive found a guy with over 50K wood and over 20K marble, plus several thousand of the rest.

Yeah but how high was his trading port? All the resources in the world do jack when you can only loot 300 resources an attack.
I should know how well i can nail him late tonight, i have to destroy his one ram ship and will launch 2 raids tonight against him. I can't do more then 2 at a time since i don't have enough ships. |

Im not sure of anything, but I hit him and got 1500-1800 wood, and 600-800 marble and a little bit of the other stuff. It was partially due to the amount of ships I had at the time too, so I coudlnt carry much. Problem was, like some other guy found out and blackaded the port making it where I couldnt get through anymore unless I fought him. That really pissed me off that soem random guy found out and blocked it in hopes to hog everything. So me and another guy were gonna take turns blockading and pillaging. I found out who it was who tried ot hog it all to himself, it was some punk that was around that island. I guess his blockade time ran out and my diplomat blockaded it afterwards and he sent ships and they engaged and his ships won. My diplomat only put 3 ram ships though. Theres been a few spots actually that I have found that are good, but sometimes someone will hit it right before me. I am alomost wanting to threatenh these poeple (if I find out who it is) to not hit spots of ours. Like that one guy who blockaded the port, that really pissed me off. He isnt allianced either and weeks ago I asked him to join mine and he gave me a retarded answer like: " I am in an alliance on gamma server, so I think I am fine".

It looks like someone else blockaded him before me too. I sent a few ships to send his fleet packing. Will be building a few paddle ram ships later for fights  |

Pretty much looted everything he had
About 30k gold and
Got about 7k wood
2200 wine
700 marble
2000 crystal
and 1500 sulfur
Looks like someone else hit him in between my raids and stole a litle too. |

Yeah thats the problem. Recently I found a few goods spots and I notice someone hits them right before me or during.

I got 2 more targets with a combined total of 40k wood and 30k luxury resources. Begginning first stage of assault on first one and i'll time it to steal all his resources asap. Lvl 9 and lvl 8 trading port |

Someone hit the better target about an hour before my troops landed. I'm gonna focus on my economy a bit and finish my fleet of paddle ships so when I find a good target I can blockade and keep others out. I didn't have enough ships available and had to wait to build some. |

Normally I dont like to risk losing any troops or ships. But I will if the pillage loot is a good trade off. But just know, if someone decides to send ships they will engage with yours. Another cool thing about blockading too is, if you were to just randomly blockade a harbor which you think has lots of traffic, you can intercept those boats and take the loot. I havent tried this yet though. But surely you would piss people off because I think they would know who did it.

As far as troops go mine are superior to almost everyone else in my area. I'm 5 days away from Steam Giants and I already have paddle ram ships which are the best attacking ship in the game. Most people near me don't even have gunmen.
I've already maxed out upgrades on swordsmen and phalanax and got all first tier researches for gunmen, flameships, and paddle ram ships |

Well the flip side is no one contributes to my resources and they all have crappy loot. Its a 4-5 hour boat ride to blockade someone worth raiding. |

Not too shabby at all
Especially since their is still the following left
