I was actually trying to get a PSX group together a little while ago, but I'm interested in getting basically all the games that aren't total garbage, If we can get a 5 man group it's seriously only about $16 per person for almost every PSX title available right now.

It could be worth it for you guys to see if you like whats on the European PSN store.
I can access to it because I have access to the PAL store. Games on there cost like about $10 NZ from memory. That would mean they would cost $5-6 each due to the exchange rate. More games have been released on the PAL PSN store, and almost all of the USA releases have been released on there.
I am happy with everything you listed except or ones like Wild Arms that are Japanese only. I don't want to download Japanese games right now. For all of the English ones you listed, I'll get on board. | kilter

wild arms is the US release and is in english
i haven't research PAL releases yet, but assuming there is no difference i don't mind if it gets us a wider range of games without any compatibility issues.
$5-6 is about the same price, so no issue there.
let me look into it.
I think i already have castlevania chronicles, but if we're getting a ton of game divided by 5 i don't mind if we get that too if it makes it easier.
rayman and spyro are fine by me, i suppose. i also have some interest in R-Type. let's get a full list of games together, and figure out what we should get. Or, i suppose, we should get a full list of both US and of PAL, and see which is a better direction to take. | Windmill

the following notes are NOT complete. Check the link yourself for all games. I only listed the differences I thought of interest, i might have missed something you care about.
US has Castlevania Chronicles, and Castlevania SOTN, PAL does not.
US has Crash Bandicoot 2, PAL does not
US has rayman 2, PAL does not
US has R-types, PAL does not
PAL has Sim City 2000, US does not
US has Spryo, PAL does not
US has Street Fighter 2, PAL does not
US has Suidoken, PAL does not
PAL has Syndicate Wars, US does not
US has Twisted Metal 2, PAL does not
US has Wild Arms (english), PAL does not
Overall, i'd say we should stick with the US PSN store.
Since Windmill is the one that brought up PAL, but also brought up spyro and Rayman 2 (both seemingly only available US), I think US is probably even better for her (though i may be wrong?).
So... one more post coming up with a list of suggested games. Feel free to comment, add more... some of the games i haven't even heard of, so if you love it, shout it out. i might just not even know it's any good. | kilter

are there any PAL only games worth getting? I don't mind creating a PAL account; i actually already have one (needed it for the Valkryia Chronicles demo) that i can now delete to make room for it. but only if it's worthwhile; the list we've got going for US right now is pretty comprehensive. | Windmill

Well I think it'd probably be better if I did it perhaps: I am working in New Zealand dollars and the American dollar is very strong against the NZ dollar right now. Games are $9.50... though either way is probably good, if we have enough interest in PAL games or not Currently I'm mainly thinking of the Crash Bandicoot kart racing game and theme park and theme hospital though I can see how there might not be much interest in the last 2, though I think they're good simulators

These 3 don't generally have favourable reviews. Since I don't have nostalgia for them, I don't have an interest in them, I'd by myself not get them but get something else instead. Plus R-types and Destruction Derby aren't my sort of "thing" either I would probably replace those a good original PSN title, like say Flower, Penny Arcade Adventures etc.

Castlevania Chronicles got good reviews and Syphon filter series got excellent reviews but they aren't my personal "thing". I'd replace them all personally with a good PSN title.
While I say this- I'm currently up for buying 15 unless my financial situation changes (very possible) and so if people agree with those choices instead of substituting them for something else, I'm up for getting them, I might find a hidden personal gem in there | kilter

i'm not really interested in any non-PS1 games with this group; i'm already part of an very active sharegroup and have a lot of psn games (non-ps1).
also worth noting - if you reference the wiki i linked to above, it doesn't list all the games you mention available euro - for example, according to wiki both spyro and rayman 2 are only available US. is the wiki wrong or...? but using that wiki list, i'm definitely for US at the current time due to games like Wild Arms, Sudoken, Spyro, Rayman, etc...
medievil got some really good reviews at the time of it's original release- 8.2 on gamespot, http://www.gamespot.com/ps/adventure/medievil/revi... -- but you're right, according to IGN it hasn't aged well. there are certainly games like this which i could go either way on. | Windmill

i don't know anything about jet moto... i'm a bit hesitant about racing games - Burnout Paradise has spoiled me, and I've already got Wipeout HD so don't see myself ever needing to play the original wipeout.
