Thanks guys
I added those to the OP and changed the links to use bill's referral link for Amazon (using {asin} tag) |

| | #5 posted December 14, 2007 at 3:21pm (EDT) |
Ooh, smart.
You should get a percentage of the percentage Bill gets.
Also, I suck at linking, but if using Bill's referral link is easy enough, I'll be sure to use it whenver I link to amazon. Can you provide the ways and means? |

If you do a quoted reply of Helen's post (or this post), you can see how the {asin} tag is used.
You just need to extract the ASIN from the link you would have used. It's a little tricky, but not that hard.
The ASIN usually starts with B, unless it's a book. It's often after /dp/ or /product/
e.g.
Time Crisis 4 at Amazon

Time Crisis 4 is back to $50 today as the Amazon Deal of the Day, for anyone who might be interested |
Helen

| | #14 posted December 19, 2007 at 8:12am (EDT) |
Amazon Deal of the Day today is Stranglehold Collector's Edition for $39.99.
The Collector's Edition comes with the movie "Hard Boiled" in HD (on the same disc as the game).
Kind of tempting at this price; I had fun with the demo. |

Did anyone read the product description of the PS2 component cables?
Showcase stunning Xbox 360 high-definition graphics with the component connection on your HDTV. Play high-quality audio with the included stereo connection or use the optical audio port for digital sound. The eight-foot shielded cable also includes the more traditional composite connections for use with standard-definition televisions.
Those are some totally sweet cables.
And, since those are Sony brand, using them with my PS3 won't void my warranty, correct? |

I think it either just dropped to $49.99 new (finally) or has that drop coming up soon. If so, you could do the B2G1 used at Gamestop for a decent deal, if you can find 3 games in decent condition that you're interested in.
Though I think your best bet might be to trade for it or buy it used on GTZ/CAG. It's been out over a year now and so going rate for a used copy should be in the low 30s. |

I thought it'd be at least $20 bucks by now , I guess it's like Gears where the price simply doesn't want to drop. I'll have to look around, thanks Helen

This is very YMMV, but its worth a shot
(Taken from CAG)
Dimension: Exactly 7 7/16" x 3 7/8"
(i'd think it'd be ok to just round it to 7 1/2" x 4")

They have All-Pro Football 2k8 for $9.99. I was thinking about picking it up. Wonder what they'd do if I brought this in?
Plus where do you get the actual coupon at? Since that one clearly states no copies |

Pete: Let me know if that works.
I thought it had went back up to $19.99 though. |

Sorry if this is a stupid question what's YMMV? It says on it no copies. Figured maybe this came out of a magazine or something. |

Are there any other hardware deals out there? I can't seem to find any. I'm in the market for a PS3 and can't really seem to find any bargains. New 40GB's with Spiderman 3 BR are $400 but that seems to be the cheapest option. Which would be the better option: a brand new 40GB or a used 60GB? Obviously the 60GB is the better unit but new is nice. |

If you buy it from Sony themselves and sign up for the $100 credit card you get the 40GB for $300:
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet...
plus no interest for 12 months and of course the 5 free blu rays

I would definitely go for 60gb over a 40gb if you have any interest at ALL in PS2 games.
I haven't seen many deals lately for hardware, though if you have a GameRush nearby, I hear they are selling new 60gb units for $449 (if you can find it in stock.) If not, used on Craigslist can be a good option - I picked up one for my boyfriend before Christmas for $325. |
Helen

| | #39 posted January 8, 2008 at 4:02pm (EDT) |
Ah, I'd almost forgotten about the Sony card deal, although that's more of just a $100 bonus for signing up for the card. A while ago they were offering a free controller with purchase of a PS3 but looks like that deal is over now.
If all else fails, Amazon is not a bad option... no tax, and if you are interested in a new credit card, you can get a $30 credit as well as 3% back in the form of Amazon gift certificates (pretty nice if you buy from Amazon a lot.) |

3% how? Is that for everything or just PS3 purchases?
