I played the demo for Overlord: Raising Hell (downloaded via PSN) yesterday. It seemed pretty fun. You play an evil overload who commands minions in a real-time stategy-like way. I guess you build up your tower as you play too.
It's not even out yet. I see the amazon page says the release date is June 24, 2008.
I was hoping I could just download it for $10. I'm not so sure about $60. Anyway, I'd be interested what people think, especially if any of you end up picking up the full game. I'll probably wait for the price to come down. But, it seems like fun. |

It's the same game that was on Xbox 360, but with a few new additions. I'm going to pick it up for PS3 because I sold my 360 version (For some reason I couldn't get into it enough to finish it) but it is a LOT of fun. I think this time around I'll be a little more open minded about it since it's put together oh so perfectly.

Cool, I really don't know much about 360, maybe I'll check some reviews for it on that system. |

It's definitely a 9 out of 10 game I'd say. The only thing is I don't think it's worth $60 for the PS3 one. You can get it on 360 for $20 or less now since the price drop.
Wait for the PS3 one to drop and then nab it I'd say.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking... a lot of games come down in price pretty fast... I'm a cheap bastard. Maybe Helen will find me a good price for it too. |

If someone trades one in at my shop, I'll sell it to you for what I pay for it + shipping, should you not get one prior.

Its a fun game...but even now at $20 new for the 360 version, I still haven't picked it up. But I have an overabundance of games right now. But the few hours I put into were really fun.

It's on my want list for the ps3, but i probably won't pick it up for a bit, unless i can get it cheaper than retail, or if bishop shows back up and sells more stuff for his wholesale prices.

Pikmin, in my opinion anyhow, definately isn't a bad game to be compared to. You play an astronaut guy who crash lands on a planet. While there you discover little plant looking creatures called Pikmin. There are different colors and each has a different talent. The red ones are immune to fire so if there's an area that has flames within you can safely take them through. And the point to the game is tryin to find the parts to your spaceship so you can repair it.
I haven't played alot of Overlord but what I played definately had similarities. Different types of demons with different abilities. and aren't you trying to rebuild your lair? |

Sweet. Then I'll definately be picking it up once the price drops. That'll give me time to finish the games I'm currently playing. It definately seemed fun from the demo i played. My only issue with the demo was that it came to an end. |

Should be able to find Pikmin for real cheap so you'll definately get your moneys worth there. |

The first Pikmin is definately more reasonably priced than the second one is.
