I've been thinking about finally getting a ps3 and I have the Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel that I used with GT3 and GT4 on ps2. I wanted to know if I can use it on a ps3 and if so will it only work with ps2 games that are BC or will it also work with ps3 racers? Its the one that has the USB connection not the controller port connection. Also will things like the SOCOM headset work? I want to see what all I can get rid of and what I can still use. Thanks in advance for any input.

I dont know about the racing wheel, but I do know that the SOCOM headset DOES work, I use mine all the time on-line.

I can't find a clear answer about the wheel anywhere. Some people are saying it works and some say it doesn't. I was going to get a wheel for my 360 but if my ps2 wheel will work I'll just get all my racing games for the ps3 from now on. Most are multi-platform anyway. Anybody tried it at all?

Is this the deciding factor in you picking up a PS3? If you're going to get one anyway you could always just try it. It would be cool if it worked cuz you'd save money on an accessory. Those driving wheels aren't cheap.

No its not the deciding factor on getting a ps3. thats a for sure. Its a deciding factor on whether to get a wheel for my 360. It just might be another month or two before I get a ps3. I don't want to get another wheel if the one I have will work on ps3. I was going to sell or trade in my existing ps2 wheel for the 360 one unless it'll work once I get the ps3.

I wonder if the fine folks at GS would let me try it on one of their display ps3's. Nobody I know around here has one to try it out on. I doubt it though. They'd probably just try to get me to give it to them for $5 in store credit *wry smile*

Confirmed... my Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel works with all my PS2 racers on PS3. Still haven't tried it with a PS3 racer yet.
