I wonder if spinal wear will count for this?

I noticed the fading on my cover shortly before I noticed the ink on my fingers. It's not terrible, but you can definitely see my fingerprints where my lifted the ink off the page.
Honestly, I don't care all that much since it gets so much use - it's going to look worn at the end of the day anyway. But, it's still awesome of Atlus to offer this .

I wish I got the guide... I got the artbook and CD, but that was kind of lame |

well the cool thing is, since you have to rip off the cover and first page and send it to them, you can use the coverless guide for your all the time use, and then just keep the replacement in minty fresh condition on the shelf |

Not quite how it works.
You send the cover and the first page as proof of purchases, and they look at your cover to see if you qualify, if you do, then you send in the rest of the book, and they send you a new one.

So, if you don't qualify, then you tape your ripped cover back on after they send it back to you? lol |

Yeah that's crapty. I thought for sure you got to keep both. Don't see why you wouldn't I think it's only fair.
Bill why did you get the artbook and cd but not guide? I didn't know they sold it like that unless you got it from a user or third party or some BS like that. I wish you would've gotten the guide it's super handy at times. I kinda want to scan and upload mine on the PC as a .pdf buuuuut thinkin I probably shouldn't..and that I'm lazy

The artbook and cd came with every edition of Demon's Souls (at least with each first printing). The guide only came with the CE.

Yeah, they were thrown in with the regular version of the game for "free", something like that. The edition with the guide costs more. |

I think it was only pre orders though right?

the soundtrack is ok, the artbook is total garbage. I didnt get the deluxe version so Im missing the guide, id gladly take a broken guide off one of you guys (if you do get to keep both), help you make free some shelf space :P |

I thought the soundtrack sucked... but, I should give it another chance.
I didn't pre-order... maybe they just has a few left. I didn't pay much attention. I think my choices via Amazon were the deluxe with guide version for ~$70 or the regular game +artbook/CD for $57 (something like that). |

I think my Deluxe Edition was 72 with a delivery date guarantee shipping method which, again, didn't make sense at all to me. Their delivery date guarantee was cheaper than their 1 and 2 day delivery that wasn't even guaranteed. But either way I was content with it. If you need a guide or just wanna glance at it and see what all it has to offer you can borrow mine sometime bill. I haven't played the game in a while and the only thing I need now is a Regalia, Demonbrandt, and a Meat Cleaver I do believe...maybe the lava bow

This is amazing customer service on their part (although one could argue that they should have done a better job on the guide ink to begin with)
Boy was I mad when I literally opened it once, delicately, and half the ink on the spine came off and a giant fingerprint smudge was left on the back. |
