Do you have higher resolution versions of these? Hmm....300 dpi is the standard for printed material if I remember correctly. Have you looked around on digital press, and other nes sites? I know I've seen people talk about this before...I'd gladly help you search but I'm swamped right now with work. I'll see if I can do some digging over the weekend.

If these print well on nice paper and a Canon C5180 copier (or a nice Epson inkjet) ... then I can help. :)

Already thought of that he said "Since he does not own the labels he cannot sell them" this does not make any since as he sells them on the carts he makes,,,,,I have emailed him a few times he is kinda weird anyway |

That's too bad he seems weird. I was hoping he could give you some tips on how to print the labels, not necessarily sell them to you.
Do you think a local print shop could figure something out?
EDIT: I did a search for "nes repro label" and found several articles that could be of some help. Here's one with an interview with that same guy I mentioned earlier:
http://www.destructoid.com/nes-reproductions-a-cla...
And here's what he said about his labels: "print the game labels at 2400dpi on an industrial color laser printer. Then, just laminate and trim the labels to size." However, I've heard people say that some of his labels are printed at such a high dpi that they show little flaws, kind of like HD tv can.
So I'd think that playing around with the dpi on a industrial color laser printer and then laminating them sounds like the "standard" repro method.

Yeah, I'm anxious to see how this turns out. I've been interested in these for awhile, but not very seriously until I saw you talking about them here.

It sounds like the guy prints them out on regular paper than laminates? I am not a pirate for sure, but I do have some damaged labels on my NES games that I'd like to reprint - I don't think that's bad, is it? What I'm planning on doing is using glossy photo paper, then sticking it onto the cartridge. I'm not going to raise the DPI to 2400, but I'll have it between 300 and 600. |
