Hey guys, I just found this forum thanks to Yoshi pointing me here. I'm not really sure what this bleemcast is. I know it's a way to play PS1 games on the dreamcast with enhanced graphics? That sound right? Anyway I know only 3 games were released retail but I was wondering if someone could expand a little more for me on this and tell me if some other games were released as downloadable only. I read something about one that let you play a bunch of different games on one disc (i think it was 21 or something), but I really don't know much about this and it seems like the more I find just looking around the more contradictory everything is. So has anyone actually used this themselves? Any information on this would be great and I'm glad to see there is a Dreamcast forum. I'm actually working on a complete List of NA releases for the Dreamcast and it is probably my favorite system.
Thanks In Advance. |

The three games officially supported, IE released, were Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo 2, and Tekken 3. They each have their own disc. You put the Bleemcast disc in, your Dreamcast reads it and then tells you to put in the game disc. The other discs, with more than one game released, were "leaked" onto the internet. You can still find sites that have them but in most cases the games are unplayable and very few work correctly since it isn't a final product. For the three that were released, the graphics etc are enhanced and they work fine.

Ah, I see. Thanks Halo. That's all there is to it? Cause all the sites I've read about this stuff make it so much more complicated. So the game isn't actually on the CD? You still have to have the original game to play it? |

Correct. You still need the physical Playstation disc.
