... And I wasn't even drumming! I was singing/playing guitar at the same time (I have my mic on the top of my drum set)! I was resting my foot on the bottom of the bass pedal (my foot was perpendicular to the bass pedal, kind of like a "T") and it snapped right at the bottom!
I'm having crapty luck. Yesterday my 360 died, and now I broke my bass pedal.
This isn't the right forum, but anyone have an extra one they can sell to me?!
I'm thinking about selling off all of my RB1 gear (after/if I get a new bass pedal) and just re-buying the RB2 stuff for the updated instruments. |

Dude, don't get another plastic pedal, trust me. I've broken 2 pedals now, my original one and the replacement they sent.
What you need to do is go to Ebay, and search for "pedal metal." It's a pedal that you screw on to your original pedal. It was only $20+shipping and mine works like a dream. This is the one that I got:

That actually looks really cool. But seeing as I want to resell the kit, I don't think it'd be worth the $20.00 to buy something cool like that and then have to sell it off.
Was the replacement pedal free? |

I never even got mine and they tried to bill me for it
But yeah, the replacement is supposed to be free.

Well, I'm gonna try to get a free one. Problem is, is it says that it can't replace something because of abuse or something or another. But, I'll try! |

Do you guys think they'll replace it? I have to send them my broken one first, and if they wont replace it, will they at least send my crapty one back? What happened to your first one, Ace? |

Here, you guys be the judge of whether they'll replace it:

Ok, first option: Duct tape the pedal where it's broken. Obviously since it's broken near the pivot point it won't really make a difference. That will work, but it'll look stupid.
Second option: Buy the pedal I showed you online
Third option: go to the Rock Band replacement website and say that "your pedal isn't working." Basically they sent me a new one to replace my broken one, I sent the broken one back, and never heard from them again. So, maybe it's like a 50/50 try whether you have to pay for it or not.

That's exactly where mine broke, and they gave it to me for free. Take the option where they send you a new one first, then you send yours back. The put a $120 charge on your CC, then take it off when they recieve your broken pedal back.

I've already done the one where I send it in first. Damn. |

When I talked to the guy on the phone, he said they really don't care how it broke. As long as you weren't taking clearly taking a sledgehammer to the thing, they'll send you a new one for free. And he said the "60-day" warranty or whatever it is, is pretty bogus. He told me they'll be accepting things for a while, and there is no way to tell if it's been 60 days from a bass pedal.

Sweet. That guy sounds cool.
I looked at my achievements, and I broke my pedal on the 63rd day. |

I think they made an error in my shipment, because I got a new bass pedal today, even though I haven't sent mine in yet. So I guess this is my question:
- Can I use the same box that they sent me? What did you guys do to send yours back?
- Should I call them up to make sure they don't send me another one after I send my old one back? |

Didn't you give them a credit card number before they shipped the new pedal? If you don't return your old pedal, they'll charge your CC.

No, I didn't provide a credit card number. I selected the option where I send mine in first, yet I received this one. |

Hmm, well in that case, I'd say you probably don't have to worry about it. BONUS!

Yeah, I called them up and they said that it was their mistake, and that I don't have to send in my old one. Woohoo! Free box! |
