I'm having issues setting up Gentoo under VMware.

For some reason it can ping the Host its on (WinXP)

And it gets a IP from the Router, and sets the default gateway,

but when i try to ping the Default Gateway i get a host unreachable error.

I'm using a bridge connection because i want to set it up as a server.

I've been googling with no success.

Strange. Can the Host machine ping the Guest machine? Is the Host Windows? Is the Windows Firewall on?
