Installed it a week ago on my laptop, and I'm REALLY liking this distro....Ubuntu was pants for wireless speeds, no matter what I seemed to try....
No issue with Mepis |

I thought "pants" was a positive phrase? |

I'm pretty sure 'pants' is a _bad_ thing... At any rate, I'm finding things are a quite stable and I'm certainly liking the lack of wireless issues. I also found that on Ubuntu I was continually having to renew my IP address on my wireless router (Netgear); haven't had to do that once yet with Mepis. |

It's Debian based with a KDE gui..... It also doesn't seem as slow or "doggy" as other KDE front ends....?...
