I think that might be the kind of RAM my laptop uses. I'd pick it up, but I need to stop spending money.

That's what I thought. Gonchi, is your laptop capable of using desktop memory (I don't know if this is/isn't possible)? Also, what type of memory does your laptop take?

I don't think it can take desktop memory (actually, I didn't realize there was a difference between them...). I have a Compaq Presario 2100AP, I looked up the info for it (I'd done it before about a year ago, but forgot the details) and it needs PC2100 DDR SODIMM.

Sorry about the confusion Swinghi. Free bump?
