Use this here forum for all discussions of tape. Things to consider when discussing tape include:
1. What it looks like.
2. What it sticks like.
3. Smell and Toxicity
4. What it be made.
5. Price and initial setup costs.
6. Potentially dastardous situations involving tape.
7. Craft and share, mates.

I will open by discussing one of my favorites, Cheong WANG. It's clear, so you can see thru it. You see, this particular tape can be acquired for a nominal fee of $2.18 cents (I pay 0.09 cents per dollar in sales tax, mind you). Using this tape gave me some trouble tho.

As I was feeling fer the rite kinda pool, I broke the very namesake that was made into my spanky new product. As I mean to say, I spliced (but not spliced b/c it wasn't a wire/cable) the plastic doohickie. and I call it that.

Happens to be that Cheong WANG's name was inscribed on this particular plastic artifact. Lonely, decrepid.... staring at me. A cause for concern was developed. I couldn't leave it to suffer, much as my aunt did to some poor kitten aloose from the neck!

So I threw it away. The tape was rather gunky anyway.

$2.18 down the drain. An experience +

i had a bad experience with some crappy tape, here is my tale:

1. What it looks like.
--it had the consistency of paper, i guess it would be considered masking tape. it was about an inch in width and was beige in color
2. What it sticks like.
--THIS WAS WHERE IT ALL WENT DOWNHILL...it stuck terribly. this was the cheap stuff apparently and when dealing with tape you DO NO want the cheap stuff
3. Smell and Toxicity
--smelled normal and as fas as i know it was non-toxic. i would have felt safe licking it.
4. What it be made.
--oh what wasnt it made
5. Price and initial setup costs.
--i think it cost 99 cents and it required scissors to open the shrink wrap on it. cannot remember the cost of the scissors
6. Potentially dastardous situations involving tape.
--one could tape somerhing and expect it to be held fast but since the tape was so terrible it could all fall apart! you shouldnt put to much faith in this tape
7. Craft and share, mates.
--make a tape ball and play indoor hockey with broomstick, wrap yourself up and look like a pretty legit mummy, write things in giant tape letters on someones car

EE-GADS man. That is one speculatory encounter deemed bewb-tanic. I've found that tape consistent with the latency of paper is easier to tear. Quite thorough on the tape, I'd say.

Crafting a mummy seems riotous, but how would the tape be removed?! I guess in the instance of cheap ass tape, one could expect it to give rather easily.
Taping one's car? Seems like an oppurtune exercise for a self-righteous parade of likeminded cousins. I myself have a few.
hockey is more of a'nadian flavoUr.

lastly, the USPS priority tape pays for itself in making u deh upgrades. craptied.

i forgot to consider that the paper-like tape is very easy to tear, good point!

i also thought of a better usage for the tape on a car and that is adding custom pinstriping on your ride using the tape! now thats pure class
