Miyamoto's keynote at GDC may have been devoid of much new information, but only cold-hearted fools and liars could say that the new Super Mario Galaxy video looked anything less than kick-ass. Still, as the game nears its end-of-the-year release, one has to wonder if Nintendo has any surprises in store for us.
The Wii software website for Super Mario Galaxy (smartly noticed by Cubed3) suggests that one little yet-to-be-unveiled bonus might be the inclusion of a two-player mode. This is obviously very much unconfirmed, but it could mark the first 3D console Mario platformer to revisit the old 2D Mario tradition of letting a second player take control of the pudgy plumber's slightly healthier brother Luigi.
That, or it could just be a crappy mini-game. Maybe it will be the twentieth Mario game to include the original Mario Bros. Oh, we could only be so lucky. Do the right thing, Nintendo. |

New scans of the latest edition of Japanese magazine Famitsu have surfaced, and they show what looks to be a new feminine character who'll likely be the drive for Mario as he takes to the stars in his next adventure.
Unconfirmed caption translations indicate that the princess is not Peach, nor Daisy, but rather a new lass by the name of 'Rosetta'.

OK the box art has been unveiled and you probably didn't notice this at first but...
Spoiler Notice that some letters in the title have a sparkle on them. If you put them together, you end up with "U R MR GAY". |

i'm guessing we're looking at the rating pending part? maybe it's close to having an AO rating, heh heh. i very much doubt it could possibly be anything less than an e rating, come on, it's mario.

Famitsu reviewed Super Mario Galaxy, it scored 10, 9, 9, 10
* Keeps up the feeling of "I wanna see what's in the next level!"
* Gradually builds up things available in game, keeping a good difficulty balance and level design.
* Gravity change gimmicks and special actions improve boss fights.
* Wiimote controls work almost too well
* Tempo is abnormally good
* Just being able to point and gather star pieces in exhilerating.
* Game everyone can enjoy. |

People keep posting that, but there's nothing in a local ad yet that my TRU will honor. . .

According to GameRankings, a site that aggregates reviews of various games, Super Mario Galaxy has quickly climbed to the top of the heap to become the highest rated game of all time. This legendary feat has knocked long time holder of the crown Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time down to number two. SMG joins the top ten club with other titles new and old such as Metroid Prime, Soul Calibur and The Orange Box. |

Its by far the best game for the wii (though mario olympics gives it a fair challenge). There is 1 thing I don't like though. You know how you could slide on your belly in mario sunshine? How you could just slide and jump and "hop" while sliding, you could move around a level while doing this. Well, thats not included in mario galaxy. Other than that though, its greatness. I especially love long jumping off the side of the planet only to land on the opposite side. Love it! |

Alright I finally opened it last night and I'm still less than an hour in and I don't like it.....does it get better further in or should I just trade this while I can still get something good for it?
