Hahaha, that's so cruel. I'm in.
Super Mario RPG would be the main one for me. Oh, and the Adventures of Bayou Billy.

I almost finished Super Mario RPG but never quite did, so that would be one I'd pick up as well. I'd love all the FFs and Chrono Trigger, but of course there's a better chance of HDDVD winning the format war.

Well, they did FINALLY release a Squenix game on VC, but it was something more obscure like Knight's Quest or something to that effect.
And I can't believe you haven't beaten Mario RPG. I've played through it about 5 times myself. ...and I'd probably play through it that many more if I had quick access to it.

In one night I had went through 4 of the 5 stars (or was it 5 of the 6?) and was only one star short. Then I got lazy and played too much 360 and eventually needed the money so I sold it. I have a PSP, so I'll likely finish it up on there

Well, considering the full name of the game is Legend of the SEVEN stars, you may have had a way to go. I didn't realize you hadn't played it on the SNES either. I think I discovered the game only a year after it came out.

No, I played it on the SNES before I sold the game, just a year ago since when I first had it quite a few years back I hadn't beaten it. And I don't remember where I was, just that I had checked on GameFaqs and only had one more star left. Seemed like an incredibly short game, but I had a blast while it lasted.

I always wanted to try again NiGHTS. I used to always play it at a local restaurant and had no idea what it was.

That's probably the #1 game of all time that I haven't played and would love to (with Shining Force III being a close 2nd). I have Gamefly (rental service in the U.S.) sending me the Wii version, but I know I've heard it's not the same.

I would like to see Blast Corps from the N64 released on VC. In my opinion, one of the most inventive/unique gaming experiences I've had; and I don't know of any game similar to it (anybody know of any?) It must not have been commercially successful, or I'm sure spinoffs would have been made.
It would also be a cool if they remade it with next gen graphics on the 360 as Rareware games are now owned by Microsoft.

I haven't looked through the list for a while, so some of these might be out, but these are the ones I want to see:
SNES:
FF2
FF3
Starfox
Breath of Fire 1
Mario RPG
N64:
Blast Corps
Star Fox 64
Paper Mario
Plenty more to list later. |

I highly doubt Blast Corps would come out on the VC, since it was made by Rare and all. I'd think it's more likely it'll come out on XBL Arcade, in which case I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I loved that game as well. I think my favorite vehicle of destruction was the sideswiper truck. Fun stuff.

Blast Corps was one of those games that I rented on a whim and it consumed a whole weekend. It was a fantastic game, but not many people I've talked to have played it. If I can come across a cheap cartridge, I'll just buy it. It's a great game. |

Whenever i get a Wii, i would like Chrono Trigger to be on there, i cant seem to play the one on FF Chronicles and i have the rom for the PSP as well, which may have a better chance at me playing it, what's with this Mario RPG is it really that good? I could always get a rom later when im not running on this Vista crap that wont even recognize my psp |

It's good, but very RPG lite and very short. Fun as hell though and it surprises me that this was as far as they went with any Mario RPG.

Eh, sort of, but sort of not. I don't really know how to explain it, you'd really have to play it to tell the differences.

Super Mario RPG. Played it some in the past, but would enjoy playing it all the way through.
Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES would rock--though, I doubt that they'll do it, since it was loaded down with NFL licensing rights. Tecmo Bowl on the VC just isn't quite the same without seeing the player name after you've connected from Phil Simms to Lionel Manuel in the end zone for the 3rd time, so I know TCB wouldn't be nearly the same without the player name rights.

I very much want to also play- I think its Secret of Mana? Its a 4 player RPG anyway that came out for the SNES. And Snowboard Kids. Though I doubt that'll ever get released, I'd buy it up in an instant.

I don't remember Secret of Mana being 4-player. I remember it being 2-player and the 2nd player had very little control. It's a fantastic game though. |

You're right. I felt like it was kinda pointless to have more than one player on that game though. It was fun as hell with just one player and like I said, if I remember correctly, the 2nd or 3rd player had very limited control. |
Windmill

| | #40 posted March 31, 2008 at 2:43pm (EDT) |
It sounds like TOS though, where the extra players helped fight the battles. Thats how me and my friends played through TOS, we'd just help out at the battles while my best friends younger brother guided us through everything else (with me and her guiding him) and it was a blast.
