Just Finished FF7 Crisis Core a few hours ago. And I have to say it was pretty darn good. Everything was really great, the graphics, story, fights etc. There was a few minor things I wish were a little different like: The enemies were a little more respondant, the game was a little longer, and they allowed you to free roam instead of it being linear. Sometimes (or alot of the time) random enemies would just stand around and let you beat on them. This wasnt a problem with some boss fights, in fact the Sephiroth and Final Genesis fight were a little tough. When I beat the game wasnt ready for it. I thought there was more to go. There was a few things I missed, like some of the summons and a few areas I didnt explore. I had also read you could fight the Goddess in an optional battle. So I missed all that. I didnt complete all this mini missions so I think some of the summons might be unlocked there. I freed the little cactus guy from the shinra mansion but couldnt find him.
So I figured I might run into him later, didnt happen though. I was also thinking you may have soem time to free roam, maybe be able to go back and do stuff you missed. The ending was pretty powerful and I thought it was great. Believe it or not, I dont really know why they killed Zack at the end. I tried to think about it but cant really come up with anything that significant as to why they killed him. I figured maybe because he was too powerful, or maybe because he was reported killed in action, so they had to kill him. Or maybe it was partially that, and that the shinra leadership was becoming corrupt etc. I just dont know. But the final ending where cloud goes back and hes on the train and has the buster sword is so cool.
The game filled in some gaps of the story and now I know some of the reasons for things. I think they could possibly do a remake of FF7 or atleast give it an updated treatment to match Crisis Core. If you notice the buster sword is kinda significant. It belonged to Angeal, then Zack received it, and then Cloud takes it. And if you notice in FF7, the sword isnt that powerful so it gets replaced by stronger swords, but the buster sword is the only sword that cant be sold or discarded etc. So the Sword is pretty special. I havent played Dirge of Cerberus, but I plan to, I'd like to see if it helps the story.

Yeah I know, but there has to be a reaosn why they killed him. I know it made the ending poweful, but according to the story why was he killed? Thats what I wanna know. Are you talking about the part where cloud is going back to midgar on the train with the buster sword?

Well, that part sets you up for FF7. But it is a possibility for a remake, or an enhaced version of FF7 to match crisis cores technology.

Crisis Core was amazing.
They fished around rumors that FF7 was going to the PS3, but they were shot down i believe.
Did either of you really make anything great with materia fusion?
Off Topic Kinda: I always thought when Aerith said she knew someone in soldier she meant Sephiroth, till i played this .

I made some stuff like mug, gil toss, Exploder Blade, And a few other cool ones, but I forget. You had ot have some good materia, if you had access to the shop that sold like octoslash, lucky stars materia etc, you could make some decent combos with that. I had some Mako Stones but never got a chance ot use them, didnt know how.

They killed him because he broke out of the mansion in Nibelhiem, where he was used as an experiment.
