Are there any folks here who buy Japanese Nintendo games/accessories/systems who don't use their Club Nintendo points for anything?
I always offer my assistance to the GTZ crowd for buying Japanese imports at low prices or even at cost, and I was hoping maybe by some kind chance people would be willing to give me their unused Club Nintendo codes.
Anyone feeling nice?
I now need 235 points.
I have 265 points.
Point value breakdown:
Most DS games give you 20 points
Most Wii games give 30 points
Wii console gives 80 points
Wii remote gives 20 points
DS or DS Lite system gives 50 points
Pretty much everything else is only 10 points |

Thanks! I'm like 1/2 way to having enough points to get Sakebrain DS. I know I could just buy it for $20 off ebay, but if I can get it free, that'd be better If I don't get enough points by December all of my points expire and I get nothing I already lost a ton of points from all of my GC purchases that expired.
Just to clarify, Sakebrain costs 500 points, and I have 180 points.

Would GBA games have points? I'm unpacking college stuff right now, I'll keep an eye out for some.

Yup, I registered a couple of GBA games that still have valid pointage. One of them being the ever popular Rhythm Tengoku.
So, if you have GBA games that are relatively recent, then the points should still be good. Just pull out that little yellow slip of paper and PM the the 16-character codes |

I love this game to death. I played the hell out of the ROM. I can't wait to get this one sometime. How much does it go for over there?

Still haven't found my GBA games. Rhythm Tengoku was great, but it's way too easy, I breezed through it in two sittings.

Nuts!
Out of the 10 codes I got from you guys only one worked. Oh well, better one than none |

BTW, if anyone is looking to buy Wii accessories (wiimotes, etc.), they tend to be cheaper here and with much better packaging than the US counterparts. I would be willing to get Wii accessories at cost in exchange for the sweet, sweet Club Points inside of the box (Wii accessories here don't come sealed, so you wouldn't know the difference if I took out the code or not). |

So is this the same as registering a code from a nintendo product on the nintendo site? But this is for the japanese nintendo site, and they reward you with the points you have?

Maybe you can't use a code from the same game more than once?

I know that that's true with the codes that come with the American games.

They're similar to the american codes. They come on a little yellow-bordered slip with practically every game/accessory released for Nintendo consoles/handhelds in Japan.
The code is like this:
12AB-34CD-EFG5-6HI7 |

There's gotta be like 2-3 GTZers out there with Japanese Wiis. That'd pretty much take care of the rest of the points I need. |

So you guys actually get stuff with those codes? I have over 30 games registered and all I ever got was a free keychain |
ENIX
| | #27 posted May 23, 2008 at 2:37am (EDT) |
lol, yeah, you have to register a ton of crap to get stuff...
...although, I think you're referring to the US Nintendo codes which give you practically nothing, but we're talking about Japan's Club Nintendo which gives you points to use toward items. |
Spunion

Yeah I'm pushing the century mark on the US Nintendo site and they have only given me stuff for certain games like Phantom Hourglass. |

Yeah, I got that part. It's kinda nice to get something, even though you have to register alot. |
