Wow, very impressed. I'm not even a huge fan of the SNES EB, but I'm pretty excited for this!
I entered my email address. I assume it will be played on a GBA emulator? (Mmmmm....Mother 3 on PSP!!!) |

mmmm....I've been messing alot with my PSP emu's lately. They just run SO SO good. I couldn't believe how nice the Genny and SNES ones run nowadays.
How fast are they making progress on this Mother 3? |

Sweet, I'll put it on my GBA flash cart (haven't used it in over a year) and then play it on the GB Player.

Bah, I've been looking forward to a Policenauts translation patch. The game has been translated forever and the patch was supposed to be out Q4 2007. Stupid translations.

a) get Mother 3 ROM online or upload it from current legit copy if you have it
b) apply patch
or
wait for someone to post on some site the game with patch applied; simple
it's no different than Seiken Densetsu 3, Bahamut Lagoon, and Star Ocean sfam, same concept but playing in English |

Ya, it shouldn't be hard to find a Mother 3 (J) Rom online....right? |

Suiky - what EB/Mother games are there? Just EB Zero (NES hack) and the regular EB for SNES right? Are those the Mother 1 and 2 ? Or am I confused? |

yeah, EB0 is Mother, EB is Mother 2
so when the translation is done, the only hardware I'll need is a GBA flash cart? What would be a good one to get if I'm only gonna use it for Mother 3?

Mother 1 = nes
Mother 2 = snes

Mother 3 is the one being translated
Earthbound 64 never made it out

Only reason that I miss my PSP is for the SNES emulation... Had a ton of good games on mine.

I'm not getting the whole EB Zero thing...
Was Mother 1 ever translated? And who made EB Zero? What game is that? |
Suikoden
| | #18 posted June 28, 2008 at 12:17pm (EDT) |
EB0 = fanmade translation
Not official
Mother 1 was released in Mother 1 and 2 (Jap) but never released here; hence why people download EB0.

Yes, Nintendo had it all ready and translated, then decided not to release it.

Actually, Earthbound for NES was fully ported over to the US, just never released. It's not just a straight-up translation, either. Some sprites were changed (religious symbols and partial nudity, if I remember correctly). |

i wonder why they changed the nudity in earthbound but left it in river city ransom.

kind of off topic, but: is there a translation guide or something for Mother 2 that has the translations (like shows the Japanese and English) of goods? I've got the script, but need one for items. (Bought Mother 1 + 2)
