I want a Wii, but haven't had any luck finding one in stores. Does anyone know if there is a schedule for shipments to Wal Mart, etc? Is there a certain day or time I should I try?

As far as I know, there is no other way to know if a store like Wal-Mart/Target/BB has them other than calling in pretty much every morning. This is what I had to do last August in order to find one. Took me about 2 weeks to get one. It's amazing that almost a year later its still like this.

My Wal-Mart has had Wii's sitting on the self for about a month here. First time since release I've seen them there.

As far as Walmart goes, the weekend is the only time they won't come in. They show up any weekday and usually late morning/early afternoon(10am-2pm, typically) depending on when they receive their daily FedEx/UPS shipments. The only time they have set dates for shipments is when they have them featured in a weekly ad, in which case the stock is held until Sunday when the ad begins. Usually there's at least one normal shipment of them every 7-10 days or so and the number of systems varies by store.

I just started looking recently. None of the local stores: Circuit City, Target, Wal Mart, Best Buy, Toys R Us have had them in stores. I know someone who picked up a couple of Wii's at Wal Mart, but they asked the employee who found a couple in the back. I'm not in a big hurry, but I'd like to have one before Thanksgiving and the holidays.

Try Blockbuster, all of the ones around here have a bunch sitting around, same as Wii Fits. No one seems to think about buying them at Blockbuster so they sit there for a long time. I bought about 10 Nintendo DSs a couple weeks before Christmas last year when they were hard to find and fetching $190 or more, sold out everywhere except Blockbuster.

Never thought about Blockbuster. Do they sell them new or just used? I'll have to give them a call.

They only sell systems new, they sold them used years ago when they used to sell their former rental systems, but they haven't done that for years.
