StarFox 64 is one of my all-time favorites, a great game.
But every time I try another StarFox game, its a huge disappointment. None of them come close to SF64's great graphics, sound, presentation, and gameplay. They all stink in comparison, and a few of them just stink, period.
StarFox Command for DS looks promising, though. Same kind of graphics as SF64, looks to be that good gameplay. I wanna try it, but I'm tired of getting burned by this series. So tell me, is it any good? Highlights/lowlights and opinions are wanted, please :) |

The gameplay is great, and the controls are pretty sweet once you get used to them. I beat up my DS Lite screen pretty hard as a result.
But I hate how the game is laid out in these short bursty battles instead of the long levels of Star Fox 64. Once you have some momentum, the match is over, and it's time to move onto something else. |

It's pretty good... better than the crap ones on GC and the SNES one, and leans back to the 64 roots. it's pretty fun, but woulda been a lot better if they had made long levels and not the weird battles like they did. |

I didn't like it at all. Mostly due to the complaint that Ren2K had where the battles are just too short. There's no well-designed coherent series of stages like in the original two star fox games. |

What? SNES original is still the best. |

Nah, too crusty.
Thanks for the input fellas, I have a copy on the way for about 9 bucks shipped. Figured it didn't matter how good or bad it is for that price. |

Wow, this game effing blows.
What's so difficult for Nintendo to understand about StarFox? Make another one just like StarFox 64, without some ridiculous control scheme, and everyone will be happy.
The control setup in StarFox Command...Jesus Christ. The worst thing ever. I was ripped off for $8.74. |

I have still yet to play my copy. The SNES original is still my favorite and it pisses my off that Star Fox 2 never got a retail release (I'm aware of the ROM for it though).
I'm currently looking for Sonic The Hedgehog comics. If you have any, send me a message.
